Historia
Farley Jones is being forced to date Meyer Harrigan, the man she has come to love, in order to make all of her stand-up dreams come true. It's agony-a tragedy, even. In lieu of flowers, please send cash . . . Meyer and his daughter Hazel have been everything to her since they came into her life three years ago. So, all joking aside, the stakes are especially high when it's not only her career, but both of those relationships on the line.

I stopped reading it because of the profanity. I’m an audible loyalist but I’m very disappointed in this one. In the title review that I looked at before I selected it, I didn’t see anything about profanity. I didn’t make it past chapter 4.

A Mother’s Heart
Revisado: 06-27-24
This was a great suspense novel! My mother heart could relate to Bre’s. We have a keen sense of recognizing pain in others’ hearts.

I think this book reveals what goes on in many families SECRETS! It’s never good to keep secrets. The children always know that something isn’t quite right and often they think they are the problem.

MC still my favorite author
Revisado: 12-01-23
Michael Connelly has done it again, producing a book with characters so rich and deep that I am constantly drawn to them. I am in my fourth decade reading stories written by MC, having read many multiple times, and I never tire of his characters nor their stories. This Lincoln Lawyer story did not disappoint.

Historia
For Dee Kwan, every day is the perfect day. No, really. She has a house she loves, a job she adores, and a ridiculously attractive “nemesis” who never seems to mind when she wins their favorite online game. How can life possibly get better? (It can’t, obviously. It can only get much, much worse.) Soon Dee is forced to share her adorably cozy home with her parents and estranged grandmother. Then she’s tossed into the deep end at work, tasked with cleaning up a scandal for the intimidatingly chic luxury fashion firm Celeste. If that weren’t enough, she discovers her hot nemesis works there, too.

A Fellow Sister Survivor
Revisado: 06-01-23
Beth Moore’s Bible Studies have been a constant in my life since the early 1990s. So many of our life experiences parallel one another. I appreciate the courage you had in your ministry to broach the subject of sexual child abuse. I’m so thankful that you told the rest of the story in this book. I needed it. I also needed you to align with me on the subject of the Conservative Christians’ support of Donald Trump. My husband and I were encouraged by the stand you and Russell More took to uphold the truth of the Holy Scriptures. Thank you for writing your truth. You are not alone!

Historia
Ever since she became a parent, Mary Louise Kelly has said “next year.” Next year will be the year she makes it to her son James’s soccer games (which are on weekdays at 4 p.m., right when she is on the air on NPR’s All Things Considered, talking to millions of listeners). Drive carpool for her son Alexander? Not if she wants to do that story about Ukraine and interview the secretary of state. Like millions of parents who wrestle with raising children while pursuing a career, she has never been cavalier about these decisions.
