Historia
Romance can be a little complicated when you get sucked into a wormhole. Just ask high school English teacher June Flint. One little solar flare happens and suddenly you find yourself 85 years in the future. Eighty-five years from your dream job. Your ailing mother whose only companion in this world is you. Your favorite stuffed-crust pizza from DeLucia’s on Sunday nights. But when June’s cell phone inexplicably picks up a signal, she’s able to call back to the present—more specifically, four weeks before she accidentally time traveled.

Historia
Just my luck - my new next door neighbor is a unicorn. Yep, the British hottie is clearly a mythical man because - get this - he's a sexy, witty, charming, big-hearted single dad. Who, wait for it, wants to find Mrs. Right and get hitched. He’s a once-in-a-blue-moon kind of man, and it’s a darn shame I’m not on the market. If I were, his accent alone would melt me. Add in the fact that he's a veterinarian, and my animal-loving heart would be flip flopping.

Dreamy
Revisado: 04-25-24
The dream guy was dreamy and it was nice to see a strong female character x 4 at least especially being a pretty good role model for her daughter.

Historia
Twelve-year-old Bird Gardner lives a quiet existence with his loving father, a former linguist who now shelves books in a university library. His mother, Margaret, a Chinese American poet, left without a trace when he was nine years old. He doesn’t know what happened to her—only that her books have been banned—and he resents that she cared more about her work than about him.

Our Missing Hearts
Revisado: 12-21-22
Historical non-fiction meets current non-fiction to create a fictional society. This book is thought provoking in that we need to learn from the lessons of our past. We take our most valuable assets, our children and take them from their families, put them on trains, or in boarding schools, or in foster homes without or with minimal counseling and expect it to not have an effect on the child.
Way back in the day, we were closer together and the child was part of a group from the beginning. Today in our individual houses (thank goodness for houses) we don’t have a group watching over our children. People are isolated, they have babies without knowing how to care for them because they may not have been taught how to care for a child. People of all races and ethnicities could use help in learning to care for each other and their kids from when they are little because we are all one.

Incredible - get this book!
Revisado: 05-16-20
This book kept coming up as a book that I would like and I kept passing it up and yet it would be there every time I went to my Audible account - pick-me pick-me it seemed to say. And I said, “I already know about signs I don’t want to waste my money” I am so glad I finally listened - Laura Lynne has taught me so much! Thank you!

Pathological mind games. Covert and overt put-downs. Triangulation. Gaslighting. Projection. These are the manipulative tactics survivors of malignant narcissists are unfortunately all too familiar with. As victims of silent crimes where the perpetrators are rarely held accountable, survivors of narcissistic abuse have lived in a war zone of epic proportions, enduring an abuse cycle of love-bombing and devaluation - psychological violence on steroids.

Helpful “As”
Revisado: 09-06-18
This book has all the information from several other books packed concisely into one book. The author does not go on an on about what horrible things the Narc did but does gives examples to validate your own experience. The only part I did not find relevant was the INFJ section but that wasn’t too long. If you are going to pick one book pick this one. She also has a ton of great resources on how to start healing. Thank you!

Historia
Cracking the communication code between husband and wife involves understanding one thing: that unconditional respect is as powerful for him as unconditional love is for her. It's the secret to marriage that every couple seeks, and yet few couples ever find. While both men and women deserve both love and respect, in the midst of conflict the driving need for a woman is love and the driving need for a man is respect. When either of these needs isn’t met, things get crazy. Based on over three decades of counseling, as well as scientific and biblical research, Love and Respect is for anyone.

Love and Respect...
Revisado: 08-28-17
The author does a great job explaining how it all works with a touch of humor that I found refreshing. There are great examples that Are definitely relative to my own relationship.
I've always loved my husband and seeing this new perspective over the years I've disrespected him as I have felt unloved.
I don't think this book can save our current relationship but it may help my daughter and I will bring this to my next relationship.
