Good series, clean and entertaining
Revisado: 09-05-22
This 8 book series is somewhat predictable but just intriguing enough to keep you moving through the series. The narrators were not always consistent with accents. It seemed like the main character, Georgia, accent started to sound just like her sister partway through the series. Sometimes it was hard to tell which one was talking. I was looking for a lite entertaining story and that is what this was.

Engaging
Revisado: 07-16-22
This book was hard to put down. The fact that the Jewish people moved into the forest, uprooted their lives every two days was unbelievable. They owned so little they could pack and move in an hour. I felt like I was there with them, in the forest many times while listening to this book. I had taken a break from historical fiction about WW2 and I was so glad I chose this one to listen to as my first upon my return.

Glad I read this!
Revisado: 02-19-22
I had put off listening to this book but I am glad I finally read it. Eliza was an amazing woman. I know it is historical fiction but having studied textile and that included dyes I had never heard of indigo dye coming from South Carolina. This story started slow but once I got into it I was hooked.

I have always loved Cleo Coyle’s book and this one did not disappoint me. She has some great characters in her books too. Plus she made it with no deaths this time! Only tragic accidents. Good for a light read!

Cute Story
Revisado: 01-15-22
The narrator was excellent and really made the characters come alive. This was one of those days feel good Christmas stories set in a Christmas tree farm in a small magical town. The sex was a little much and did not need to be so explicit.

Not your typical romance
Revisado: 08-15-21
I go between thinking this us a great romance but then I think wow how sad of a romance. The book drew me in and I had to read when ever I got a few minutes then ended up bong listening to the end. The way the author intertwined the lives of these characters is amazing. I kept thinking maybe this Labor Day they will stay together then the next maybe this one. The depth of the main characters is amazing and are great examples of the struggle with love, life, good and evil. Read it! You won’t be able to put it down!!

Fresh Change from typical romance novel
Revisado: 06-12-20
The beginning was slow but once the story took off it was engaging. I had a hard putting this book down. Some things were predictable but other plot turns really surprised me. The narrator was excellent with the variety of voices which kept me engaged. I’d call this a mystery romance.

Historia
"How did you get this number?" Those were the first words Jill Biden spoke to US senator Joe Biden when he called her out of the blue to ask her on a date. Growing up, Jill had wanted two things: a marriage like her parents' - strong, loving, and full of laughter - and a career. An early heartbreak had left her uncertain about love until she met Joe. But as they grew closer, Jill faced difficult questions: How would politics shape her family and professional life? And was she ready to become a mother to Joe's two young sons?

Heart Warming and Touching
Revisado: 06-14-19
I loved that Jill read this herself. Her voice gave it life and her emotions were genuine. She has such an inner strength that came through in each chapter. It is amazing how deeply she loved her boys. I loved the story of how she let the boys be in on her pregnancy before she told Joe. Her way of parenting can be held up as a model family with the heartache and pain, joy and happiness they have felt. I was touched how much she shared in this book.
