Historia
Self-made billionaire Sam Zell consistently sees what others don't. From finding a market for overpriced Playboy magazines among his junior high classmates, to buying real estate on the cheap after a market crash, to investing in often unglamorous industries with long-term value, Zell acts boldly on supply and demand trends to grab the first-mover advantage. And he can find opportunity virtually anywhere - from an arcane piece of legislation to a desert meeting in Abu Dhabi.

He read his own book too! What an original thinker, and a calculated risk-taker. There’s a lot to learn from Sam’s incredible career

Fantastic book for building a winning mindset. Very powerful, clear, concise, and actionable. A great book is worth reading over and over, just like great athletes receive coaching over and over.

Historia
The Scottish-born son of a failed weaver and a mother who supported the family by binding shoes, Andrew Carnegie was the embodiment of the American dream. In his rise from a job as a bobbin boy in a cotton factory to being the richest man in the world, he was single-minded, relentless and a major player in some of the most violent and notorious labor strikes of the time. The prototype of today's billionaire, he was a visionary in the way he earned his money and in the way he gave it away.

Author really dislikes Carnegie, also a boring book
Revisado: 12-09-23
I’ve read over 70 non-fiction audio books on here, and I’m returning this one.
The author believes it is relevant that while Carnegie wrote letters saying that public libraries should be free to facilitate education, he himself could have afforded a library pass. Or that Carnegie was short, so wore heeled boots. Or that Carnegie grew a scruffy beard in order to look older and more adult. Or that-well it goes on and on.
The book is also full of, in my opinion, non-stop irrelevant details. If you seek unbiased knowledge and inspiration from Carnegie’s life story, try another book.

It’s mostly about buffets life, not his business
Revisado: 12-09-23
I wanted to know more about how warren’s net worth went from 2B to 120B, and the mechanism of Berkshire that facilitated it. 80% of the book is not about his business empire. It’s long, but I still finished it in order to learn something, to which I eventually did learn about his mindset.

Historia
The Science of Getting Rich is the classic guide to creating wealth through the Law of Attraction. First published in 1910, 100 years later it inspired Rhonda Byrne's best-selling book and movie, The Secret. According to Wallace D. Wattles, "There is a science of getting rich, and it is an exact science, like algebra or arithmetic. There are certain laws which govern the process of acquiring riches; once these laws are learned and obeyed by any man, he will get rich with mathematical certainty."

Historia
We're in the middle of an epidemic of average. So-called "normal" people get up every day, go to work, do what's asked of them, leave promptly at five, and return home to sit on the couch and watch TV. Society tells us that this is what it means to lead a balanced life. Don't stress too much or work too hard. Your career isn't everything. But Grant Cardone thinks this preoccupation with balance has really just given an excuse to be mediocre.

Historia
This book is about the heart of religious experience, namely Enlightenment (which is finding the truth concerning oneself), and about science (which is finding the truth concerning other things), and about the relationship between them. It claims that Enlightenment is more truly scientific than science itself; and that, without Enlightenment, science is only half the story and therefore full of contradictions, of insoluble problems both theoretical and practical.

mindblowing
Revisado: 10-11-21
When I first started listening to this book, I didn't get it. It seemed too contrived and theoretical. Then about a year and a half later, after re-reading his other book,, 'On having no head', and studying many other books by David r Hawkins and other authors, I tried again to listen to this one. And wow, just wow. See for yourself.
