Nothing I haven’t heard before

I wanted to read this book to see what the hype was all about but honestly it’s nothing new. It’s definitely not a theory, it’s a mashup of other authors’ wisdom. I’m frankly disappointed, maybe even offended.
Mark Manson, Brianna Wiest, Pema Chordon and many other authors advised before not to dwell on other’s actions and behavior. Pulling stoicism in the mix is crossing a line for me.
It is definitely not for me.

Content is ok but all over the place.

I found the book not very organized, too many unimportant details or facts and often not getting to the point.
I wish someone else read for her, I find her voice and style very much like a teenager with an attitude, so I had a really hard time listening to her.

Disappointing and frustrating

I loved The Breakdown, liked Behind Closed Doors, didn’t care for Bring Me Back, could barely finish The Dilemma and I find The Therapist pathetic, boring and poorly written. I had a very hard time finishing it and I won’t be coming back for more. It is not a suspense nor a thriller unless you are 100 with a weak heart. I’m being harsh but honest.

This story was not for me and not what I expected. Hearing about the party, party, party got tiresome extremely fast. I did not get to like any of the characters and even though I finished the book I did not enjoy it much.

I really wish there was a warning label on this book saying the material is extremely 'strong'!! I don't want to spoil this book for anyone but it was hard to digest. I almost wouldn't categorize it as a thriller or mystery.. it is WAY more than that and part of me wishes I didn't read it.
Just too much for me and I will do better research about what I pick next due to this book.

I really enjoyed this book.

I found this book pretty mellow and enjoyable. I actually had to slow down because I didn't want to finish the book too soon. I got to warm up to all of the characters and couldn't pick a favorite. It made me think of the years I spent in London :)
I LOVE Helen Duff!!! It's hard to move on from her voice to anyone else's.

Good book but the ending wasn't for me

I really enjoyed this book. It is a clever story and I absolutely love all the descriptions of the tiniest details. It most certainly makes me want to visit Bora Bora and fly first class to go through that special door at Heathrow.. :)
I did not care for the ending, may be because I didn't get to love the main character throughout the story.
Fantastic narration though!!
SPOILER!!!
One detail bothered me throughout the book though. In the beginning she says "I wish Paul was here".. and she says that while she is burying Paul's body.. Why??? Is it a mistake or I am missing something??
