The narrator's for this book rocked it. I dual read and listened on audible.

Queue the freaking tears from beginning to end. Hands down my favorite book of 2019. Vi and Penelope outdid themselves from chapter one to the epilogue.

They are cruel to build their readers up with sexiness and break us down piece by freaking piece. Dang this was just ...... GOSH!!!!

Allow Yourself to fully heal

Matt Haynes delivered Slade and Taylor story with humor, depth, and precision. I enjoyed the book reading it on my own but hearing him deliver the accents and attitudes of the snobbish and shoot even the dogs were on point. 


Making the action feel in the moment as well as the emotional struggle in which Slade dealt with after the explosion in Afghanistan is what drew me in. He was protrayed as a fun loving guy from the outside but once you got deep within Slade and brought his story to life you seen how much he hid behind Lola and how closed off he really was. It was kind of heartbreaking but the therapy helped and so did almost losing what he didn't want or know how to love.


It is funny how he gave Dave grief but ended up being so much like him in the end outside of the hiring of the women. These men of Deep Six are stubborn but know when to hold them as well as know when to put it all on the line and save the freaking city. Security at an entirely different level.

Love at the six

What did you love best about Till Death?

The way regardless of how much Dave talked mess he loved his team and they respected him and had his six.

What other book might you compare Till Death to and why?

Kill Shot by Liliana Hart because of the love hate relationship between Dave and Susan (the barracuda). Their bickering showed their true spice and how they complimented each other and was on the brink of committing murder but had each other six.

Which scene was your favorite?

The scene where Susan wore yoga pants and was eating the popsicle to torcher him.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It was a calming listen. I enjoyed the edge I stayed on when they went on missions. The biggest edge was the last invite to the clinic. I didn't see them getting out alive.

It bought the funny

Tavia hit it with the narration. The aroused voice and the quirky humor of Gabi and the other ladies. I still laughed my butt off on the different parts in the book as if I was reading because of the humor portrayed in her voice during those scenes. I was a little put off only by some of the male parts. There was not enough attitude and arrogance for the swagger of the men. Overall it was enjoyable.

Just what I invisioned

I had my thoughts on what Izzy and James would sound like and the mood and which they portrayed in certain scenes and Lance and Simone delivered on all accounts.

It was like listening to a play blind. Nice job on putting words to a great story.

What did you love best about Emily?

I enjoyed the way Marco found love again and Emily found that it is okay to be herself because the world is the one with the problem.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Emily was my favorite character because although she wanted to find her own way she still was human with a vulnerability and sassyiness

Would you be willing to try another one of Devra Woodward’s performances?

Yes if she did just a woman narrated book. I was very indifferent of her changing into th male role because it didn't feel natural but more forced.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Be who you want not who they want you to be.

I would recommend this book because it was like the book became a movie more so that just an audible book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Dominic is my favorite character because of his arrogance and the way he is learning as he go. He is a protector by blood.

What about Kim Bubbs’s performance did you like?

Kim did a wonderful job and put expression in each character.
