Heavy story, with a bright ending.

I love Kyell's work, and this is no exception. it takes a bit to get going, and can be very heavy at times, but leads into a wonderful conclusion of this coming of age story.

if you want JRPG style with a Mary Sue MC this is the series for you.

As the title said, the MC is just too perfect, and the girls feel like they don't really have much agency or independence. If that's your jam, cool, but it was a little off-putting to me. Also, I don't know if it was the narratior or the direction he was given, but he kept mispronouncing "marquis" and "viscount" saying them as they are spelled. Overall an entertaining listen, but I don't think I'll be continuing this series.

Love these two, great series.

Lee and Dev continue on their journey. There were times I wanted to scream them, tell them they are being morons. But that's why I like this series, and this author, the characters are people, flawed and unsure, muddling their way through life.
Can't wait to listen to Book 5.....well, that enough waiting.

Loved this book and how it framed modern cosmology as our best idea of how the universe works and not the capital "t" Truth.
Only problem I had was the narrator, who was reading through the material at a break neck speed and with no emotion. Almost missed a few jokes because of it.
