Erotica/fiction/romance is not my usual genre of audiobooks but I was going on a long road trip and thought I'd give this a try to change things up. I'm glad I did. It consists of several bathhouse stories. The storylines were well written and the narration was excellent so I was able to easily play out the scenes in my head. I did work in a bathhouse for several years back in my younger days so it was easy for me to relate to, and actually had me reminiscing about my time there. With that being said, this audiobook was enjoyable to listen to and I recommend it.

Interesting subject, bad narrative

While I would have enjoyed the subject matter of the book, I was never able to "get into" the story because of the way the author read the book. He did it in a hurried monotone voice throughout the book with very little pause (or no pause at all) between commas, periods, and paragraphs.

I dont know how I came across this selection in Audible because I didn't search for it and I had never heard of Everett Ruess but nevertheless I saw it and thought it sounded interesting. I was not disappointed. I found the real life story fascinating. The story of Everett is full of adventure followed by the mystery of his disappearance and the conflict(s) that follows. Its sad that his life ended at such an early age. I think most people will enjoy this audiobook.
