Sadness
Revisado: 03-12-25
Story draws you in and you have to see it to the end. Great readers. But the story is so tragic. although having been to Japan recently it rings true for an age that the Japanese have fought to hold on to which has ruined their young people.

How can there be that much murder and mayhem in Ragmullen?
Revisado: 03-26-24
Good story, twister to the end. The characters are fun. Lottie is a bit exasperating - but has a good heart.

Love this series- but the “chats” were painful
Revisado: 03-09-23
I am a complete fan. Love the characters and their development, but the reading aloud of tweets, online chats, dates, times was quite painful and boring. Hopefully a technique that will never been used again. Story otherwise was great.

I just love these characters. Convoluted story line with incredible conclusion. I was listening sporadically, so I had to back track a lot. Would have been better if shorter or one listened more consistently.

Historia
In an expensive London restaurant, Julia Lovat receives a gift that will change her life. It appears to be a book of exquisite 17th-century embroidery patterns - but on closer examination, Julia finds it also contains faint diary entries. In these, Cat Tregenna, an embroideress, tells how she and others were stolen out of a Cornish church in 1625 by Muslim pirates and taken on a brutal voyage to Morocco to be auctioned off as slaves.

The Killing Season
Revisado: 12-02-18
I liked the book in general but the explicit romantic and quite lengthy scenes between 17 year olds and all the dramatic pathos was really not very believable and unnecessary to the story. If I was reading the book I would have skipped over as it was I was driving to and from work!!!!
