Historia
The year 1904. On the banks of the Zambezi River, a few miles from the majestic Victoria Falls, there is a colonial settlement called The Old Drift. In a smoky room at the hotel across the river, an Old Drifter named Percy M. Clark, foggy with fever, makes a mistake that entangles the fates of an Italian hotelier and an African busboy. This sets off a cycle of unwitting retribution between three Zambian families (black, white, brown) as they collide and converge over the course of the century, into the present and beyond.

Hard to follow
Revisado: 04-21-24
I found it hard to follow the story after listening to the first hour twice. Just wasn’t captivating enough for me to win my focus while running.

Historia
In the dusty hills above San Diego, Bob Larsen became America's greatest running coach. Starting with a ragtag group of high school cross country and track runners, Larsen set out on a decades-long quest to find the secret of running impossibly fast, for longer distances than anyone thought possible. Running to the Edge is a riveting account of Larsen's journey, and his quest to discover the unorthodox training secrets that would lead American runners (elite and recreational) to breakthroughs never imagined.

Story about running
Revisado: 09-15-21
I enjoyed the book. It wasn’t a gloating book found in most running stories. It was basically a type of historic timeline with enough to keep you engaged.

Narration was hard to follow.
Revisado: 09-08-18
The narration was hard to follow. She used the same voice, tone, accent for all the characters. I had to rewind multiple times to see what character was talking.

Historia
After recovering Patient Zero, Alpha must escape Africa to end the ZA once and for all. But they can feel the hot breath of a reinforced and vengeful Spetsnaz team on their necks - and there can be no escaping the reckoning of an ultimate sniper showdown between Ali and Vasily, and an incomparably brutal iron-cage Texas death match between Predator and Misha. For the first time, all the teams will come together and must fight as brothers for any chance of making it back to Britain. And only one thing is certain - not everyone is walking away from this one.

Not the best book in series
Revisado: 04-05-18
Performance was great as usual but I felt this book was full of fluff and too much “unrealistic” actions as compared to the rest of the series. Not to spoil, but there comes a point when, even in a zombie apocalypse fiction, that something is clearly not believable.
