Historia
It's coming up on the end of Season 6, and that means we're talking about one of Sarah's books! We're finishing up (or beginning?) the Bareknuckle Bastards series today with a deep dive of Sarah's Wicked and the Wallflower, the first in her Bareknuckle Bastards series--part Rumplestiltskin retelling, part Peaky Blinders fic, all justifiable face punching and ode to the darkness. This is the series she loves the best, and Jen just might agree. You can get Wicked and the Wallflower in print, ebook and audiobook at: Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Apple Books, Kobo, or wherever you get your books. It's ...

missed opportunity
Revisado: 09-04-24
Loved W&TW, and appreciate the back story. I so enjoyed Felicity in this story and appreciated her showing up again in the Belles series but I think you missed a real opportunity to have her school the ladies in her lock picking skills. Perhaps in the final book? These women would surely want to pass on their skills to others, right?
Keep up the pod--I never tire of your comraderie!

Historia
After catching her husband in a compromising position, Finley Granger finds herself in a new hell: reentering the dating world. When she moves in with her grandmother, her great-aunt, and their best friend, Finley finds herself surrounded by a trio of well-meaning yet bumbling matchmakers. In spite of their efforts, Finley only has eyes for one person, and that’s Zeke Masters - the 6’4”, impossibly built, and ridiculously good-looking new man in town. Along with her nether regions, Finley’s journalistic spidey-senses tingle as to why he’s on sabbatical from Seattle.

Narrator was wooden, but I’m story
Revisado: 07-05-23
The Ma the narration was annoying. The story was OK, but the narrator was wooden and made the story difficult to listen to.

My favorite Pilcher book
Revisado: 06-14-21
A sweeping saga covering WWII. Just loved the depth of all the characters and the accompanying flaws. This is a favorite time period for me and the story is most compelling.

Terrible editing
Revisado: 01-22-19
Satisfactory story, but the editing missed at least a half dozen times when a line was respondents with varied inflection. Hate paying good money for sloppy work.

Historia
Marvellously atmospheric tale of strangers summoned to a grand but neglected villa on the Italian coast. Each of them has been named in a will, but nobody knows their benefactress.... Four very different people are named in a will. Delia, an opera singer robbed of her voice by illness; George, an idealistic scientist who cannot face what his skills have created; Marjorie, desperately poor and unable to dislodge her writer’s block; and Lucius, ostensibly in control but whose personal life is in chaos.

Good, but needs work
Revisado: 08-21-15
Other Caldwell books are more fun and have a higher humor factor which I appreciate. This book felt like an abridged version and story points or segues were omitted.
