That evil laugh
Revisado: 10-07-24
The narrator has a way with an unnatural laugh. It's perfect and mischievous and evil.

Everyone from Wakarusa, Indiana, remembers the infamous case of January Jacobs, who was discovered in a ditch hours after her family awoke to find her gone. Margot Davies was six at the time, the same age as January—and they were next-door neighbors. In the twenty years since, Margot has grown up, moved away, and become a big-city journalist. But she’s always been haunted by the feeling that it could’ve been her. And the worst part is, January’s killer has never been brought to justice.

Fast paced closure to a JonBennet inspired story
Revisado: 01-27-23
Love it. If you were obsessed with the JonBennet case this is for you! It gives you the feeling that you’re following step by step through that case although it is fiction.

Suprised at how popular this series is...
Revisado: 02-03-17
Would you try another book from Victoria Aveyard and/or Amanda Dolan?
I want to finish the series, though I was not taken with this storyline as much as The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Marr or The Selection Series by Kiera Cass.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
The storyline is predictable for frequent readers, and I was honestly surprised that this series is gaining such momentum through word of mouth. I found other books with similar storylines to be much more entertaining. This one kind of fell flat.
What does Amanda Dolan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The narrator did a good job bringing to life the story. I do not think the narrator hindered my experience, as I felt it was a plot issue.
Do you think Red Queen needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
I honestly think the Red Queen was not involved enough to keep going. However, I am going to finish the other books at a later time just to see if the other books are stronger. There is a big following with this series, so I'm hoping I am missing something that will come later on.
Any additional comments?
If you liked this series, please check out The Lunar Chronicles and The Selection Series. Those series were fantastic and the same genre.

NOT for children...
Revisado: 11-01-09
This was a great book written by P.C. Cast. This is a continuation of another adult series she is writing, but following the daughter and son of her main character. However, her daughter and son are very much grown up and in search of starting their own lives. This is NOT for children, there are more than a few detailed adult scenes. So I recommend this book for the mature 16/17 and older set. I was confused as I was listening to it as to whether or not I found this on the adult side of audilbe, or the kids side.
If you are an adult, or very mature young adult that can handle this type of material I think it is an enjoyable listen. I don't usually like titles that are set during different times, however this was enjoyable.

Historia
To be irrevocably in love with a vampire is both fantasy and nightmare, woven into a dangerously heightened reality for Bella Swan. Pulled in one direction by her intense passion for Edward Cullen, and in another by her profound connection to werewolf Jacob Black, she has endured a tumultuous year of temptation, loss, and strife to reach the ultimate turning point.

Best Series Ever
Revisado: 06-01-09
I am a huge fan of the twilight series, and absolutely love the audiobooks. The narrators are wonderful.... both of them really embody the characters through their voices. I have listened to all four in the series 5 times now, and love to escape into the wonderful world Stephanie Meyer created when I need a break from the real stuff.
I suggest the books to anyone. I am not usually in to this type of fiction but loved it, and could not put it down. However, please be aware Breaking Dawn is a little risky as far as young adult goes. I think it is appropriate for teens that are aware of adult topics, if your teen might not be mature enough for adult topics I would hold off on this book of the series.
