Historia
In the high mountains of Tibet, rumors are spreading. People whisper of an outbreak, of thousands of dead, of bodies pushed into mass graves. It is some strange new disease...a disease, they say, that can kill in minutes. The Chinese government says the rumors aren't true, but no one is allowed in or out of Tibet. At the Pentagon, admiral James Curtiss learns that satellite images prove that a massive genocide is underway. This is no disease. It's a weapons test. Chinese scientists have developed a way to kill based on a person's genetic traits.

Historia
The number one New York Times best-selling master of international intrigue takes readers into the bleeding-edge world of technological espionage in a propulsive thriller that feels chillingly real. Former chief of the British Secret Intelligence Service Adrian Weston is awoken in the middle of the night by a phone call from the prime minister. Her news is shocking: The Pentagon, the NSA, and the CIA have been hacked simultaneously, their seemingly impenetrable firewalls breached by an unknown enemy known only as "The Fox".

I tried to finish this book. I hoped it would get better. I almost always finish books. This one was really hard to follow. The plot was vague. There were different tangential storylines that were not connected. The characters were not developed.

Historia
Kent Anthony is a brilliant software engineer who is cashing in on a brilliant career. He's finally living the idyllic life, far from thoughts of theft and murder and other kinds of horrible criminal behavior. He's left his past far behind.... or so he thinks. This story will bring you face to face with a hidden world more real than most people ever realize; a world where the unseen is more powerful than anything seen.

This was an interesting and unique story in the viewpoint. I have wondered about God's work today versus the past. It raised some more questions.

Enjoyable
Revisado: 05-14-15
Not quite as strong as the previous ones in the series, but a solid and good story. The format was very similar to the others in the series. By this time in the series, it seemed like the author used a template. Even-so, there were some neat original aspects. I enjoyed the bits about Alaska and its culture and history.

Historia
Charlotte Graham is at the center of the most famous kidnapping in Chicago history. The FBI and local cops found her two abductors, killed them, and rescued her, but it took four long years. The fact that she was found just three miles from her home, had been there the entire time, haunts them. She’s since changed her identity, found a profession she loves, and rebuilt her life. She’s never said a word — to the cops, to her doctors, to her family — about those four years.

Original
Revisado: 04-19-15
Neat story and focus. Many books are carbon copies of similar plots. This was definitely original. Good idea to omit details from the main character's past, it allowed the focus to be on "love" and healing. Great patient illustration of Basic characteristics of God throughout the story. Some of the characters were unbelievable through the lens of human nature, but as a story illustrating love and redemption, it worked.

Good story
Revisado: 03-31-15
This story has some really unique twists. It was more suspenseful than I thought it would be. Faith related themes were present, but more naturally presented than in some books. The voices used by the narrator seemed inconsistent with Alaskan dialects, more of a Deep South tone with some resonance differences. At times, that was distracting, but overall, well done.

Great suspense and story
Revisado: 03-24-15
This series is really well done. Other than the parallels in framework to the first book, this was its own new story. The humanity and perseverance of the characters is thought provoking and encouraging. The handling of Faith concepts was more natural than in some books. I wish there were more books available in this series and more from this author available on audible.

Why we think it’s a great listen: Seabiscuit was a runaway success, and Hillenbrand’s done it again with another true-life account about beating unbelievable odds. On a May afternoon in 1943, an Army Air Forces bomber crashed into the Pacific Ocean and disappeared, leaving only a spray of debris and a slick of oil, gasoline, and blood. Then, on the ocean surface, a face appeared....

Wonderfully done
Revisado: 02-23-15
More than ever, this a book that we should read. I am a granddaughter or pilots who flew in both theaters of WWII. I have heard so much about the European struggles and little of the war in the pacific. Recently, we have seen what people are capable of, on the nightly news. Those of my generation don't have context for this type of behavior. The description of my grandparents' world is valuable. There truly isn't anything new under the sun. The redemption through Christ is amazing and so powerful in this context. He is the Hope in today's struggles-personal and for us as a people. I will share this book with my sons when they are old enough. Thank you.

Ok
Revisado: 02-13-15
Ok book. Not as good as many others by this author. Some suspense. It held my attention, but was not fully suspenseful. There was an attempt to develop at least two characters, but the detached journal reciting style from on character's point of view, really did not work. Even though the main character had a major family crisis, his emotions did not come through in this book. It was ok
