This is one of the best Pitt and Charlotte collaborative efforts in solving a horrendous crime. The characters jumped off the pages. I have met these people. The hypocrisy so stark. Yet we are so blinded by our own self interest. Reminds me of our political device today. Putting our fate in a flawed human being. The protagonist was so enamored of his hero, he killed thinking the killing would preserve the image of the man. Great lessons to be learned here. However I take exception with the authors reasoning in the collusion. Hence, the title " my Brothers Kepler." Are we responsible for preserving anyone idealized regard of another. Would this lead you to the utter destruction of others because your hero has feet of clay? My grandmother would say all that glitters is not gold. Society is always saying be responsible for your actions, they have consequences. If we choose to idealized someone then we must therefore take responsibility and hold that person accountable for actions taken in our name.

Fact or fiction

I started reading VF just for entertainment. Then the controversy began over enhanced interrogation. Then I read that 44 met VF. He was a fan of these books. I began to wonder if there was a correlation but dismissed my hypothesis as an overactive imagination. Now Mr.T. in office and the possibilities for treasonous acts being committed against this my Country I once again wonder if Fiction or Fact one Texan macho hubris vs New York grab for power self confessed greed for money "give me more I love money" hands failing mimicking racking in all the money he could grab by hook or crook. Niether one putting country first. However misguided a patriot, one I believe that loves this country. Vince Flynn unknowingly captured the essence of the political world we now live in. This a thought provoking book that is thoroughly entertaining. Rapp a thinking super hero surrounded by characters we can admire that help us sleep at night. Never a dull moment. We will miss you. Thanks for your work.

This is not the Kendra Micheals character that I fell in love with several books ago. very disappointed after waiting months for the release. The plot was weak there was no real build and ending awful. Where was the background to the protagonist hatred of Kendra? We as the reader could probably fill in the blanks but the story was (is) not worth the effort. please have more respect for your loyal fans. I have been reading your work since the Historical romance days. Dissatisfaction and let down.

Not enough connection

Missing that intangible that make you want more yet satisfied. Loved the primary characters but the intimacy between them just wasn't there for me I thought because of what she had gone through there would be more interaction in friendship between the women. There was teasing.and acceptance yet it seemed superficial. Not enough reconciliation or perhaps closure a couple more chapters would have given the reader satisfaction reality is fine but in some instances the antagonist need too recognize the truth. I have to I love the concept of this new series. This one missed that final thread that would have put a bow on top a wonderful gift to be enjoyed over again. I will still read this series with anticipation. The first had everything one looks for from CF. A loyal fan.

Where is Stephanie Laurens?

Worse book and narrator. Cheated this must have been a ghost writer. Dead on arrival should have been the title. How could you do this to a Cynster? Can not convey the level of disappointment after waiting so lo n g for one of my favorite families to come back after such a long hiatus. I would rather you bury them than do such injustice. Do you realize that well written books stay with the reader whether a historical romance or a Pulitzer prize. If this is how you think of your loyal fans don't write again I am sure you have enough money don't degrade us or your self. If this was a ghostwriter then find someone who first of all has respects for your body of work. Talent someone who knows your characters and takes them seriously. This book was simply awful. The narrator voice had no inflection just monotone. I fell asleep more than once.

Lost

Love the series however Lee Child seemed to forget who Jack is. iam new to this otherwise excellent author but this book just did not measure up to previous stories. repetition of them constantly being in the same space as the villain was overdone. we have come to expect Reacher have leaps of intuitive genius. He would have thought bomb given the time period and the geographic location. especially the amount of money envoIved.I had a difficulty finishing this one. Ghost writer? whatever the situation next time wait until you can give this character more respect not to mention his fans. i will read the older books for a while to get my intellectual fix along with my entertainment.
