In a rousing speech on race, poverty, and economic justice - given less than a year before his assassination - Martin Luther King Jr. drives home the mission behind his Poor People's Campaign. It is a clear-eyed look at the disparity of wealth in America, what it means for people of all colors - and a message of inspiration dedicated to the power of the people.

Dr. King was blessed in many ways, one being his ability to speak with so much emotion and energy that one could become mesmerized by his voice alone, set aside from his speech. Ms. Sykes did a disservice by being the narrator. I finished listening simply because I felt I owed it to Dr King to listen to his words of truth and wisdom. Unfortunately, I will never again listen to a speech or any reading that has Ms. Sykes listed as a narrator.

Whether you are in a heterosexual, homosexual, or a transgender relationship, it doesn't matter. Listening to this episode does. I heard myself and my issues for the first time and what an eye opener this episode is. I recommend this for anyone in a relationship where one partner is all touch and feel, while the other is verbal and doesn't require the affection. This episode teaches you how to navigate relationships like this with the end result of all parties feeling fulfilled with a greater understanding of why the other person is the way they are. Excellent, Excellent, listen to this one more than once.

The shoe is on the other foot
Revisado: 08-19-17
This was a very interesting episode that many of us don't often here. The woman had the affair and the after effects it had on the husband. I think we all often forget men can feel hurt, anger, self doubt and the loss of self esteem. This episode was an eye opener to the feelings not only women can have, but men to. At times the feelings carry much more pain then a woman could ever imagine.

Excellent topic for couples/husband's
Revisado: 08-19-17
The subject was extremely interesting and I believe a husband, partner, lover or boyfriend would gain much more from this topic than a woman. The wife in this episode seemed to make her husband feel worse and more self conscious then he already is. By the end of the episode I wanted to slap her and tell her to open her ears, heart and mind. If she doesn't value him for who he is, someone such as myself would enjoy the company of her husband and it will be too late for her to open her eyes. He will encounter some one who can be desired, loved, cared for and valued by what he can do emotionally and physically without intercourse. He deserves the same. I'm happy to enjoy his company and solitude. To bad he continues to hang in there.

every couple, no exceptions, must listen & learn
Revisado: 05-26-17
If your marriage has been stricken with infidelity, this is a MUST. My husband has had numerous affairs, and I owe a lot of it to our lack of communication before and after the affairs. I am going to send this book to my husband and use it to start the conversation I've been so fearful of having. I feel strongly that this is the book to use because it is not one sided, favoring one spouses views or feelings over the others. It is difficult to approach a sensetive, life changing subject without starting off angry and placing blame. Listening to this gave me the manuscript I think we have both desperatelysearching for.
I recommend this to all couples. It may fix what is broken and it can also be an eye opener and keep it from breaking. I could've listened for hours upon hours.

Should've Listened
Revisado: 04-03-17
I read several reviews, both positive and negative. I told myself, to give this book a chance, what a mistake I made. I should've followed the advice of one of the reviews which in part said that the main character gets to be unnerving, with her whining, poor me attitude. You want to shake her and say "snap out of it". She reminds me of that girl friend you like as a person, but after spending a couple of hours with them you feel drained, frustrated, angry and irritated. I want a book to take me away and not to a place I avoid in reality. I've learned my lesson regarding reviews, they are there for a reason.

Couldn't finish the story
Revisado: 03-31-17
After reading the reviews and seeing the book awards I was anxious to dig in, but I stopped with 3 hours of the book to go. Once the dog became ill and violent and the talk of the dog being trained to fight and the beginnings of the dog killing her puppies I couldn't go on. Esch, the main character is fascinating and the narrator is excellent to say the least, but the decline of the dog and all that goes along with her and her owner, Esch's brother, was to much for me to continue. I think if I would've continued the story would stay with me and not in a good way.

Before he was the Nowhere Man, Evan Smoak was a highly trained government operative known to a few as Orphan X. This is the story of Smoak's first outing as the Nowhere Man, where after completing a mission in Northern California, he happens to spot a young woman at a coffee shop....

Short but thrilling
Revisado: 02-07-17
Although this story was merely 40 minutes long, it carried the same weight of suspense, thrill and action as his full length books do. So, if you are new to Greg Hurwitz but are unsure if you want to take an 8-10 hour plunge on one of his unabridged books this is an excellent sampling of his work and of Scott Brick.

I was warned about Tristan Cole. "Stay away from him," people said. "He's cruel." "He's cold." "He's damaged." It's easy to judge a man because of his past. To look at Tristan and see a monster. But I couldn't do that. I had to accept the wreckage that lived inside of him, because it also lived inside of me.

Attention Getting
Revisado: 01-20-17
I'm not one to normally leave reviews, but the story and narration are to superb to not do so. The story is original and keeps your attention and peaks your interest to what will happen next. It is both drama and romance;the romance of the story isn't overwhelming and a turn off. I fell in love with the characters and how the author would separate each character the same way you would separate a chapter. I wouldn't normally have chosen this type of book, but it was the audible buy of the day. So well worth it, and I've discovered a new author to follow. I hope readers enjoy this book as much as I did.

Disappointed
Revisado: 01-17-17
Comparing this to his other books leaves me very disappointed. The story line is very good and interesting, but the ending is a complete let down. I feel like he just said "ugh" I'm done with this and it is what it is.
