The reader has a old voice, which to me (not English-native) at first sounded like a slightly drunken man, whose words you can understand.
The description of how to organize the vases, the terrain, the plants is very useful. But it is less than a quarter of the book.
The rest of the book, the most part, is the reason why I suggest to go with the printed part: the rich lists of plants and the description of how to artistically organize the vases, hanging pots, etc.
They sounded like the caption for pictures. If I can see the picture of a prickly pear or one for an aeonium, I can link the image to the name.
After hearing dozens of names, I lost track and neither Google could help.
Same with the vases and arrangements of the plants.
Maybe I'll try another book read by Mr. Lennon, I don't think for another audiobook from Better Gardening Guides. In the printed version, maybe.

The book is the audio version of watching three movies at once at the tv, while the remote is in someone else’s hands.
The voices are not bad, the story could not catch me. Maybe the author was looking for a fast paced rythm, failing for an ectic whirlwind.
I could endure half an hour before turning it off.

In roughly an hour you will overview any item related to project management. So the title says, so the book delivers,
It is a sort of bullet list: a concept is declared, explained and a related exaple is given. Then we move to the next item.
Exactly as declared in the title and in the description.
The weak point is the recording: the voice sounds like it was recorded in a metallic surround and the volume changes abruptely from chapter to chapter.
I think the book can be more useful in written form.

Wonderful course, efficient and not boring.
At the end of the course I can manage simple sentences, but really manage them!
I opened a newspaper and being able to understand the headline of an article was such a great moment.
I look forward the release of the next level, it is in my pre-order list.

How to waste time

Advertised as a collection of essential words im German, the book provides words in English with a translation in German.
The words are provided without a logical connection, so it is difficult to memorize them at first glance.
The verbs in English are not provided with the “to”, so once you hear “face” or “miss”, you must wait for the German version to understand if it was the name, the infinite verb or an order. “Come” was introduced as “kommen Sie”, the order, not as “kommen” the infinite verb.
The names in German are not provided with the article, so you must refer to a proper dictionary to check the gender.
Then there are some errors: “there” and “here” are translated with the same “hier”; “where” as “wo hier” which is more “where from”. These in the first 15 minutes.
I thrust the voices to come from actual person, but they might be digitalized with no loss in the result. To underline when the word was in English, the voice came with a metallic echo.
Then the opening and the ending of the book are in French.
I listened to the whole first chapter, then some snippet of the second before declaring it a waste of time.

The book is a fine piece of science fiction, a good prequel to the Halo saga, telling the early years of Master Chief and the Spartans. The overall positive impression is marred by the unnecessary variations in volume: in several chapters you will be surprised by an abrupt stepping up of the volume, to have it come back to a medium level within the firsts minutes.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Job to be better than the print version?

In this book there are some characters from various country, i.e. various accents to be rendered, and Scott Brick is perfect. When I read the book I was more interested in the development of the plot than in the development of the side characters; the audio parts offers what's due to those side characters.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Job?

The fight along the Thames and Nick's final escape from the police.

Would you listen to What Could Possibly Go Wrong? again? Why?

Yes, definitely yes. The story in itself is the same as the previous books, i.e. some time travels, the disasters happening during those travels and how St. Mary's personnel dealt with those disasters. What makes the book worthwhile a second or third listening are both the dialogues, and the various facets of the characters Mrs. Taylor offers, and the introduction of new names for the next book or for some spin-offs.
More over, this is the book when Max takes her Outdoor Survival Exercise, the same she was able to escape since book one.

Who was your favorite character and why?

In this book...Rosie Lee, when she finally start showing some humanity.

What does Zara Ramm bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She can offer personality to any character she portrays, depth over the words. When I listened to the "cupholders!" passages, I could not restrain from laughing, even if I already read the chapter.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The same as the book:"Meet the disaster magnets of St. Mary's as they hurtle around history".

Any additional comments?

Would you consider the audio edition of The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress to be better than the print version?

Well, maybe yes, but close. Mr. James offers a wonderful performance, his voice allowing each characters a unique flavour.

Which character – as performed by Lloyd James – was your favorite?

Professor de La Paz, definitely.
Lloyd James offers much more definition and "personality" to this character with respect to what I gave while reading the book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Several, indeed. The early scene at the Raffles, when "We declare the revolution", with each characters explaining in their point of view, the diplomatic trip to Terra, and the last chapter, when Manuel mourns Mike.

Would you try another book from David L. Robbins and/or Benjamin L. Darcie?

From Mr. Darcie, I'm likely to: I liked his voice and he could render the various character. From Mr. Robbins.... Well, the book was much, much, MUCH slower I wish it to be.The plot was not a bad one, on the contrary: a humanitarian mission turned into the rescue from an hijack of a classified vessel.
Quite alluring as a plot.
But the story went on at snail pace. It took me a real effort not to put it aside.

Would you be willing to try another book from David L. Robbins? Why or why not?

As before, this book was so slow!

Which scene was your favorite?

The death of the capitain of the ship. I liked him, his death suits both the character and the plot.

Could you see The Devil's Waters being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Maybe it could turn to a decent tv series. Stars... No, it suits to anonymous actors.

Any additional comments?

Not a complete waste of a credit, if you look for a mild action book.
The characters as a bunch are some plain and hackneyed.
