Historia
Fifty years ago, the nightwalkers appeared, creatures of shadow and darkness, thirsting for blood and death. Thousands died, and the kingdom of Entarna was brought to its knees. Then the Chosen came: six men and women endowed with powers by Amedan, the God of Fire and Light. The Chosen joined with the kingdom’s armies, and together, they managed to defeat the night’s creatures. At least for a time.

Great listen.
Revisado: 08-10-21
With a cast of intresting and likable characters,
slowly unwinding intrigue that keeps you hooked,
powerful deities and sinister forces woking behind the scenes, Son on Morning is a compeling and worthwhile listen. The voice acting, as typical of Derek Perkins, is also masterful and will keep you entertained if not spellbound.

Historia
Now a student at Wurthaven, Will is confronted with the truth of the present. The powerful magic embodied by wizards like his grandfather is but a distant memory. Though the practice of the current day is timid and uninspired, Will needs the knowledge that’s preserved and managed by the college. At every turn he finds that sorcery is supreme, while wizards are trained merely to assist and support those who hold the real power - a power based on an evil so deep that few who are living know the truth of its foundation.

A great follow up.
Revisado: 11-21-20
If you are in for some well written narrated
and most of all entertaining storytelling, you came to the right place. Forgive me the comparison but its like Harry Potter was set in the grown-up magical universe and Dumbledore was an immensly powerful but also cynical and bitter old man with blood all under his beard. Someone who lived for centuries and seen the worst the word, or should I say worlds, have to offer. It is in stark opposition to his prodigial and somewhat naive grandson, who has to abandon innocence and use his wit to navigate the intrigue and power struggle ridden realm he wants to protect for the sake of his loves ones.
Just the banter between some of the
some of the main characters is worth the read.
Old and tested elements of this fine assemblage you may have found before.
Especially if you've read any other books by the author(they are all great by the way).
But whatever ticles your fantasy fancy, its litterally all here: Compelling characters that drive an interesting story check, moraly ambiguous choices check, lots of action check, humor check, unique well presented magical system check, romance check.I could name more but you get the gist.
One of my favourite contemporary authors of this genre.

Revisado: 05-31-20
Likable and resourceful characters with good background stories and development throught the books.
Good pacing.Interesting and original lore and worldbuilding.
On the darker side of fantasy but not quite as gritty as the first one.
Satisfying plotline conclusion, which many books being part of a trilogy freaquently lack nowadays.
Excellent narration. Its a hidden gem really.
Looking forward to instalments from this promising author.

with satysfying spell and sword adventuring where the main cast is both likable and not uniteligent.

By far one of the most remarkable authours I had the pleasure of stumbling upon,
who's works give a sense of time well spent, leaving one all the richer for it.

If you enjoyed books from authors such as : Brent Weeks, Daniel Manning, Michael J Sullivan or Scot Orson Card this will be right up your alley. The story is up there with the best of them and you needn't wait for the next sever tomes for the plot to reach a satisfying conclusion though the book will leave you craving more entries in the series.
