Historia
I've been living with the curse of that knowledge for years. Since the first half of that prophecy has already come true, I'm going to spend what's left of my life hunting down the vampire who killed my boyfriend. When she offers me a position at her side, she has no idea that I'm headed for an early grave, and I'm determined to bring her down with me. Just as soon as I can stop thinking about her and how much I'm tempted to actually stay and serve her.

Author and narrator “nailed it”
Revisado: 12-14-24
Third and best in the series. You can jump into this one without reading the other two. There are some reoccurring storylines and characters-but nothing that will impact the story if you jump to this one. I’ve listened to and read an embarrassing amount of sapphic paranormal lit and this is in my top five. Great world building, relatable and well paired characters, and the voice actor did a great job with different voices, accents, and emotional tension. There are A LOT of steamy scenes, but each is described well and imaginative without repeating the same words and scenes I’ve experienced in other works. They are also well spaced out throughout the book. I hope we get more stories from this world either with these characters or others. Again, cannot recommend it enough-use your credit now!

This was a hilarious podcast. Wonderful voice acting, great twists on stereotypes, and every character had some sort of development. The writing was also witty, especially when the syndicate was getting onboarded with office tools. I binged the series over the weekend but I will deff. listen in the near future and recommend to friends.

Historia
He may be Lord of the Seven Seas, but for The Deep, life has been a tsunami of humiliations and setbacks. After braving the childhood trauma of being the weird kid with gills, Deep rose to the very top, basking in worldwide fame with Earth’s most powerful superheroes. But his public glory masked the disrespect of his teammates who crushed him, day after day. When he found himself patrolling the streets of Sandusky, Ohio, and then swallowed up into the Church of the Collective, Deep realized he had plummeted even deeper than the Mariana Trench.

Good companion for the show-but not vital
Revisado: 06-13-22
Highly recommend if you already watch the show-you can listen if you don’t-but you’ll catch more of the inside jokes if you do. I guess we’ll see if this audio performance is mentioned in season 3, but, it seems more like good background noise while cooking rather than vital information pertaining to the show.

Wonderful Radio Theater
Revisado: 06-02-22
Great sound direction, sound editing and voice acting. I’m not a fan of 2 dimensional villains, but other than that, the characters, world building and story kept my interest through an entire binge while driving around doing errands. Though I may not be the target audience, there were moments that made me feel like a kid again getting lost on a story and that’s what ultimately made this listen a winner.

Historia
The critically acclaimed novelist and social critic Aldous Huxley, describes his personal experimentation with the drug mescaline and explores the nature of visionary experience. The title of this classic comes from William Blake's The Marriage of Heaven and Hell: "If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things through narrow chinks of his cavern."

Imagine a British Ben Stein reading Pink Floyd Lyrics
Revisado: 07-20-21
Aldus Huxley presented a futuristic world in which there was free love, drug use and a totalitarian government in 1931. One woulld think a piece about drug use and ensuing hallucinations would be fascinating - and I'm sure it would be-were it not for the narrator. There's nothing wrong with his voice, just terribly mismatched - unless you enjoy dozing off every time he says “Peyote”. Yes, this is
an “included” book, but in this case, you get what you pay for with regards to the narration. Read, don't listen.
