Historia
Not too long from today, a new, highly contagious virus makes its way across the globe. Most who get sick experience nothing worse than flu, fever, and headaches. But for the unlucky one percent - and nearly five million souls in the United States alone - the disease causes "Lock In": Victims fully awake and aware, but unable to move or respond to stimulus. The disease affects young, old, rich, poor, people of every color and creed. The world changes to meet the challenge.

Fun, action packed and some real life issues
Revisado: 07-27-15
What did you like best about this story?
I enjoyed the characters in this, had fun with the story. And one thing I didn’t think of initially is that the protagonist’s gender in this is never revealed. With a name like Chris, it could go either way. I had been quite curious why there were two versions of the audiobook (one male narrator, and one female narrator) before reading, but now I suspect that was done to intentionally obscure any hints (or commitment) to gender, keeping it completely neutral. I did find myself assuming the protagonist was male, but I did listen to the audiobook narrated by Wil Wheaton, I would imagine if I listened to the other version, I would have found myself assuming the protagonist was female. I really appreciate this gender neutrality, because when it comes down to it, does it matter if the protagonist is male or female? It really doesn’t.

Convicted criminal James Griffin-Mars is no one's hero. In his time, Earth is a toxic, abandoned world, and humans have fled into the outer solar system to survive, eking out a fragile, doomed existence among the other planets and their moons. What made the experience of listening to Time Salvager the most enjoyable?
Kevin T. Collins gave a wonderful performance, bringing life to Chu’s words. This is one of the books that after listening to it, I almost feel more like I watched it. This is a wonderful credit to both Chu’s ability to allow the reader to so clearly visualize what is going on (without any excess of words), and Collins ability to do those words justice with just the right amount of personality and emphasis.

I loved it, but not for the squeamish
Revisado: 06-16-15
What did you love best about The Water Knife?
The Water Knife is set in a harsh dystopian world that is just as violent, gritty and grim as any grimdark fantasy I have read. It’s one that you can read for the thriller aspect of it, but it is also very firmly an eco-thriller, were you can think a bit about the environmental aspect. I did not find this book preachy as can be the case sometimes. Loved the characters, tone, setting and the pace was excellent.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes
Any additional comments?
As much as I loved it, is that I don’t think this is a book for everyone. If you are a reader that is easily unsettled by violence, torture, prostitution, etc, then read with caution. I can’t even say don’t read it (because I loved it), just know what you are getting into.

Historia
For five centuries, a witch's curse has bound the trolls to their city beneath the ruins of Forsaken Mountain. Time enough for their dark and nefarious magic to fade from human memory and into myth. But a prophesy has been spoken of a union with the power to set the trolls free, and when Ccile de Troyes is kidnapped and taken beneath the mountain, she learns there is far more to the myth of the trolls than she could have imagined.

There's more to troll than you think!
Revisado: 06-02-15
What did you like best about this story?
It really liked how the trolls were handled, that it showed judging a group of people based on rumor or speculation was unfair and inaccurate.
Which character – as performed by Eric Michael Summerer and Erin Moon – was your favorite?
It's hard to pick! I really like Cecile and the story revolved around her. But I also liked Tristan
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes.
Any additional comments?
I found the character name pronounciations a bit jarring at times because so they were so heavily accented (at least some of them) when nothing else was accented. It was just a stark contrast. But I got used to it and it didn't deter from the story at all

Addictive listen full of action/suspense and humor
Revisado: 05-21-15
If you could sum up Corsair in three words, what would they be?
Space Pirates! Hackers!
What did you like best about this story?
It was just a fun/addictive listen. It moved at a very good pace and had some bits of humor tossed in all the action/suspense.
What does Victor Bevine bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Narration was very good. Just the right amount of personality/inflection to really relay the tone of the book.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Made me laugh. Also was a book I didn't want to put down.
