Historia
After years of avoiding each other, Daisy Darker’s entire family is assembling for Nana’s 80th birthday party in Nana’s crumbling gothic house on a tiny tidal island. Finally back together one last time, when the tide comes in, they will be cut off from the rest of the world for eight hours. The family arrives, each of them harboring secrets. Then at the stroke of midnight, as a storm rages, Nana is found dead. And an hour later, the next family member follows…

THE TWIST!!????!
Revisado: 03-23-25
This is the second Alice Feeney book I’ve read and…WOW…. Just wow. I can honestly say that I was scared in some moments and the twist was not something I was expecting. The narrator did an amazing job bringing this story to life. Definitely a great read!!

Historia
Amber wakes up in a hospital. She can't move. She can't speak. She can't open her eyes. She can hear everyone around her, but they have no idea. Amber doesn't remember what happened, but she has a suspicion her husband had something to do with it. Alternating between her paralyzed present, the week before her accident, and a series of childhood diaries from 20 years ago, this brilliant psychological thriller asks: Is something really a lie if you believe it's the truth?

Thrilling yet confusing
Revisado: 01-27-25
From the beginning the story held my attention. Toward the end when I was piecing things together, it was definitely thrilling. However, the closer I got to the end I felt myself getting more and more confused to where I don’t know if I’d missed something. Definitely a good read but may just need another listen to! The performance of it was amazing. I can truly say that nursery rhymes will forever be creepy. Stephanie Racine did an amazing job!

Historia
Amazing Grace is a rags-to-riches story that charts the many ways a young man squanders opportunities and experiences misery and poverty, only to unexpectedly rise to a level of respectability and privilege. This dramatic retelling of his life story is a tale of romance, in which young love sparks wild actions, only to be followed by years of seemingly hopeless longing, before eventually being crowned by a long and happy marriage. Lastly, it is a story of grace of a youth who rejects God repeatedly, only to be rescued by divine mercy that reaches deeper than he ever imagined.

Wow.. just wow.
Revisado: 01-15-25
I’m a private voice teacher and had a student who wanted to sing Reba’s version of Amazing Grace. To give my student a deeper glance into the meaning I found out not only about the song but who wrote it. Hearing that the same man who wrote this amazing hymn was once a captain of a slave ship was confusing and intriguing at the same time. Looking deeper I found this audiobook and had to read it and am glad I did. The story of John Newton is not one to overlook. It’s so overwhelming and sits deep with your soul and truly gives you a new outlook on life. This by far one of the best books I’ve ever come across and one I know will never leave me.

I only try on one of Nina’s pristine white dresses once. Just to see what it’s like. But she soon finds out...and by the time I realize my attic bedroom door only locks from the outside, it’s far too late. But I reassure myself: The Winchesters don’t know who I really am. They don’t know what I’m capable of....
