Historia
London. A city drowning in fog. Amid that fog, a man with no name dies above a strange junkshop. Threads of mist and intrigue weave around a court case with no resolution, linking great country houses with the lowest slum in the city, mingling the high-born with a boy who sweeps the filthy streets, enshrouding devious plots and sudden murder, bringing together two extraordinary women – Lady Dedlock and Esther Summerson - who seem to have nothing whatsoever in common but who will find themselves inextricably linked.

Skip this! While the performers do the best possible with the worst script adaptation of this novel it was painful to get through. Save 8 hours and skip this. Buy the BBC version instead!

Historia
Jane Austen's classic romantic comedy is the sparkling tale of the Bennets, a family blessed with five daughters and a mother desperate to marry them off. The tempestuous pairing of the witty, independent Elizabeth and her arrogant but honorable suitor Mr. Darcy sets the standard for all great couples of stage and screen. Although many have tried, few literary romances have matched the wit and gentile satire of Austen's Pride and Prejudice.

Better adaptation than her other version on Audible
Revisado: 12-05-24
Mr. Bingley was poorly cast as for a voiced drama. However, overall this was much better direction and subtle but strong changes to this script version.

Historia
The dour, Mr. Darcy is anything but popular with the Bennets, especially when he fancies a member of their clan. And as Elizabeth reluctantly deals with Mr. Darcy’s advances, their romance seems destined to fail. Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice set the standard for romantic comedies when it debuted in 1813, and it still speaks to audiences worldwide through countless adaptations.

Loved Mr Darcy's voice, but even that doesn't make this worth listening to again.
Revisado: 12-05-24
Pacing was extremely fast it felt like the entire cast was having an anxiety attack. This adaptation is not nearly as strong as her other adaptation also available on audible. However this version of Mr Darcy is much stronger for a voice actor not certain they were produced for voice drama.

Historia
Emma can be enjoyed as a charming love story, a detective story, and a comic and lively picture of English life 200 years ago. Austen's beautiful, clever, wilful but fallible heroine Emma Woodhouse believes she knows best. Perfectly content with her life she sees no need for either love or marriage, yet nothing pleases her more than meddling in the romantic lives of others.

Great resource!
Revisado: 10-14-23
Great resource, Especially for East Coast and NY residents. I'm in the PNW so the companies referenced are not a resource for me BUT the content they share is! Love listening to the 2 hosts. Really helping me navigate this world of engagement!
I hope they do a different destination episode that one felt more like a commercial (not their fault but the guests) and add a micro wedding episode please.
