What a twisted ending
Revisado: 04-16-25
Wow! What an ending! It came out of left field. Disappointing… for a few seconds yes. Then ingenious! The supporting military guys were fun to read, Gator in particular.

Historia
Only weeks ago, former Navy SEAL Jedidiah Johnson, head of Joshua Bravo team at the Shepherds, helped to defeat Victor, the leader of the devil’s Dark Ones. Now, his boss, Ben Morvant, has tasked him with an even harder mission: Take a vacation. But before Jed has even managed to hit the beach in the Dominican Republic, he comes face-to-face with a new evil: Orphans are being abducted right off the streets of Santo Domingo. Are these disappearances just an unfortunate crime in an unfamiliar country, or do they hint at something bigger?

Audible, the only way to consume this story
Revisado: 04-12-25
MacLeod Andrew does so much to make the reading/ listening this book a much more pleasant experience. I cannot believe ONE person read so many characters brilliantly. I’ve listened to many books that have several narrators to give characters a different voice. With Andrews you only need one. Wow. The story was cleaver and action packed. I normally don’t like cliff hangers. With this one it means that the Shepherd story continues. I cannot wait. So many seeds have been planted and make me wonder what will happen. The Yarnells, Ben, Suni, and, of course, the voudou priestess.

Historia
The first and most bizarre event nearly becomes a monumental catastrophe when something goes awry at an American theme park, wreaking havoc on visitors looking for nothing more than a sun-splashed holiday. In a different part of the country, a USAF F-15 pilot, escorting another jet in the skies over the Midwest, inexplicably loses control of his plane, endangering the lives of several people and deeply puzzling those following his mission on the ground.

Fascinating, forward thinking story
Revisado: 04-05-25
This book is more relevant in 2025. His warning about bio weapons, can anyone say COVID. His warning about AI can anyone say Chat GPT. Technology in the wrong hands can be destructive and in the right hands life saving. Another point who determines the right or wrong hands? Very forward thinking, interesting and scary storyline written over 10 yrs ago. What will happen in another 10 years.
The story starts with Alex reuniting with Asia and Alexis. Hmmm the start. I was wondering where he was going with this storyline. In the end he brilliantly weaves this story. So glad something happy has happened to Alex. His interactions with his son are my favorite. I’m looking forward to this relationship growing. His relationship with his son’s guardian …. Doomed. Poor guy cannot get a beak.
As a person who knows nothing about military, sailing, and boating (?) terminology the end was a little confusing. It was, nonetheless very exciting to read.

Once a master spy for Russian foreign intelligence, then the partner and lover of the Gray Man, she has information the Kremlin wants, and they don't care what they have to do to get it.

Gray man experience not complete without Snyder
Revisado: 03-31-25
Ive read the book and of course it was awesome. However, the experience is not complete unless you listen to Jay Snyder’s brilliant narration. He is one of those who elevates the book experience. Every time I hear him cuss i crack up. Court is relentless in his quest to free Zoya. But so is Matt in helping Court. Good to see him have a bigger part in this book. Hightower, I love his one liners. The story, sadly, is all too real. As long as Russia keeps being Russia thriller writers will not run out of material. Cannot wait for the next story.

Historia
Sami Kierce, a young college grad backpacking in Spain with friends, wakes up one morning, covered in blood. There’s a knife in his hand. Beside him, the body of his girlfriend. Anna. Dead. He doesn’t know what happened. His screams drown out his thoughts—and then he runs. Twenty-two years later, Kierce, now a private investigator, is a new father who’s working off his debts by doing low level surveillance jobs and teaching wannabe sleuths at a night school in New York City. One evening, he recognizes a familiar face at the back of the classroom. Anna.

Typical jaw dropping Harlan story
Revisado: 03-29-25
My siblings loved to torture me by chasing me with a needle pointed at a balloon. You knew that big pop was coming on this story. It came at the very, very end. It looks like there’s another follow-up book. Crossing fingers. I didn’t miss the some familiar names from previous books. Adam is a new to me narrator his voice was at times distracting. I’m use to narrators supporting and even accenting the story. Fortunately the story was good.

Historia
Alex Hawke has all but given up on life. The British-American MI6 counterterrorism operative lost the woman he loved almost a year ago and has sought refuge at the bottom of a rum bottle ever since. But late one night at his home on Bermuda, he receives a wake-up call... literally. His Royal Highness Prince Charles, an old friend, desperately needs his help. The prince has discovered a not-so-subtle threat directed toward the British royal family.

The title definitely matches the book
Revisado: 03-28-25
Alex was in so many battles, the raid into a house full of terrorist, the epic battle to find the nuclear weapon and to rescue of the Royals. After the last book he seems to go into these battles with a death wish. Phew. Once again Bell merges two stories brilliantly, the terrorist attacks in the US and England and the threat to the Royals. All made more enjoyable by Shea’s wonderful narration. And then the epilogue! Cannot wait to see if his beloved Asia and son are alive.

Good second Martini Club story
Revisado: 03-23-25
Good follow up story. Love all the characters. Not as shocking a story as the first one when you find out why Maggie quit the CIA. Using a real and little known CIA project as a backdrop story was brilliant.

A brilliant story from beginning to end
Revisado: 03-21-25
The story along with Shea’s narrator talent make this book an absolute masterpiece. The most sexy story so far in this series and the most romantically tragic. Can Hawke get a break. Love the secondary characters Fancha, and the hilarious pair of Stokely and Brock. The bad guy of all bad guys the Tsar. Also, Yrine(hahaha) and Paddy get their just due. Bell and Shea out do themselves yet again

Unique and clever story

Clever way to use China and France as foes and collaborators. Stokley is particularly well written, funny, loyal, relentless. Thunder and Lightning make a return that I love. Shae’s performance 10 out of 10.

Emotional thriller
Revisado: 03-16-25
Wow. Why is it that many thriller writers kill the main characters love interest. The story starts with a heartbreak. It is actually two stories in one book. The last chapter phew …. Emotional. Beautifully narrated by Shae
