Historia
1992. All across the United States respectable, upstanding citizens are showing up dead. These deaths could be accidents, and they don’t appear to be connected—until a fatal fall from a high-floor window attracts some unexpected attention. That attention comes from the secretary of defense. All of a sudden he wants an interagency task force to investigate. And he wants Jack Reacher as the army’s representative. If Reacher gets a result, great. If not, he’s a convenient fall guy.

Good twists, like the view of earlier Reacher
Revisado: 11-20-23
Yes is missing some of Reacher’s quirks but some of those are understandable given the time frame of the story. Still enjoyable and made a long drive easier.

The Mote In God's Eye is their acknowledged masterpiece, an epic novel of mankind's first encounter with alien life that transcends the genre. No lesser an authority than Robert A. Heinlein called it "possibly the finest science fiction novel I have ever read".

Very different and unexpected

Excellent story that explores a lot of issues that are often glossed over in other novels.

Revisado: 12-15-15
A compelling story, a mix of sports, political discourse, personal realizations and laugh out loud humor even when I listened alone! Great book, can't wait for the next!

Historia
Not too long from today, a new, highly contagious virus makes its way across the globe. Most who get sick experience nothing worse than flu, fever, and headaches. But for the unlucky one percent - and nearly five million souls in the United States alone - the disease causes "Lock In": Victims fully awake and aware, but unable to move or respond to stimulus. The disease affects young, old, rich, poor, people of every color and creed. The world changes to meet the challenge.

Unique and creative story but some annoying parts
Revisado: 11-05-15
Very creative story but dialogue is awkward at times . Some sections have this sing song "I said" "Van said" etc. some variation in phrasing would have been nice not sure if written or performed this way, but got very annoying.
The performing did not have enough variation in voices."
