The Year of Dangerous Days provides an in-depth look at the events of 1980 in Miami, a year that transformed the city and helped put it on the map for notorious reasons. Told in a tone that resembles a true-crime documentary, Nichols Griffin's attention to detail immerses the reader into a South Florida overwhelmed by a confluence corruption, Cubans, and cocaine. Not only does the book explore the forces at play the lead up to the events of that year, it also brilliantly presents the expansion Miami experienced as a result. This is a must read for anyone who grew up in and around Miami in the 80s.

Utterly Eye-opening and Terrifying

Micheal Lewis pulls back the curtain on America's failure to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, spotlighting not only the heroic work of a handful of individuals to develop a readiness plan for such an emergency, but also the decripid national healthcare system that fumbled every step of the way in attempting to implement that plan. Amazing and insightfullly written, and brought to captivating life by Adenrele Ojo, The Premonition should be required reading for anyone who has ever asked themselves, "what can I do to make my community, my country, and even the world a better place?"

Green presents this modern era of humanity and interweaves his stories and experiences with raw vulnerability in such a way you have no choice but to be captivated. Be prepared to smile, laugh, and cry as you journey through subject matter both familiar and foreign.

A Science Fiction. Masterpiece

Is there anything better than diving into a story of space ships, salvage work, and smart-mouthed artificial intelligence all the while with Nathan Fillion as your guide? Salvage Crew is a fantastic story weaving threads of mystery, survival, greed, and contempt. It is also a heart-filled novel about the human condition and overcoming our organic flaws. Highly engaging and entertaining, you'll be sad once the story comes to an end. Nathan Fillion is spectacular in his performance for this book.
