The doctor is super unlikeable throughout the first 4 episodes. I loath how she keeps calling the main character by their given name rather than their chosen name. Even in this episode we find out that Indy’s dad said they don’t go by Hyacinth. One point in the doctor’s favor is that their recorded therapy sessions at least seem to be decent and one patient feels changed for the better.

Fun story

What a fun story! I love Lou’s voice; a perfect choice for the character. I’m left wanting to hear more. Will there be a second season?

Highly engaging

Great voice acting and an engaging story. A lot of full crew audio performances aren’t done well, too hard to follow what’s going on. This one they have a good balance of voices being the primary and other sounds only adding a bit of depth. My only complaint is sound level. The pings of the submersible were Painful! Definitely didn’t need to be so loud. Sometimes a voice would drop too low hear and I’d need to adjust the volume and rewind.

Distracting name pronounciation

I enjoyed revisiting this story, 11 years after reading in print. My main complaint is Marsters’ pronunciation of Lara. EVERY time he said I corrected him in my head and it was really distracting from the story. Also Marsters’ changes his voice a little for the characters, then sometimes he doesn’t and that can get confusing during dialogue portions. He chose to give Trixie a nasty voice which didn’t fit her overall character. Other than that I enjoyed hearing this book read to me.
