As an ADHD coach, this is exactly the book that I would write on the subject. I'm so grateful for the challenge to our inherited beliefs and values as well as the practical tips and suggestions.

This is much more of an opinion piece than a factual representation of ADHD. It's great if it helps you, but don't rely on his facts, figures or opinions about diagnosis or medication. It is all horribly biased and does not represent the medical literature. All of these stories of folks doing amazing things with their ADHD traits tells me they have subclinical ADHD. Or he is hiding the disastrous consequences on their relationships or emotional well being.
To be in the diagnostic realm you must have the traits AND it must negatively impact 2 or more realms of life. This may be a good book for the small subset of hyperactive, subclinical adults who have ADHD traits but no executive function challenges.

Not even factually accurate. The worst.

Surprisingly bad. Like pause and run to my spouse to laugh at it together type of bad. But worse, the language used and the misinformation is damaging to women with ADHD or anyone interested in the subject. Please, skip this book and look for one written by someone with more credentials than life coach.

I think ChatGBT could have written a better book on the subject.

This was one of the recommendations from my local librarian when I asked for a book on modern stoicism from a female perspective. I felt like a female author had a better chance of having a balanced view of stoicism, how it was taught in ancient times and how it is being used today. I was not disappointed. It is so refreshing to read someone who both deeply values stoic teachings and can so graciously critique it from a modern point of view.

The narration is decent until they go to read any quote from an ancient philosopher. All of the quotes are done in a really strange accent that comes off as just silly. it was so hard to take those sections seriously. It stinks because I would love to share this with others, but I can't bring myself to tell them about the audio book, just the hard copy.

This is good conceptually (as in it is important and beneficial to have a growth mindset) but I could have gotten as through of an understanding from a long article. The writers style is self aggrandizing. Most alarming is how her arguements are based on black and white thinking. Either you have a fixed or growth mindset, all of the kids in the study were better off with growth mindset, never praise talent, only effort. It became painfully repetitive early on and never got better.

I don't think I would have enjoyed this by any voice artist, but I found Ms. Dunne's reading condescending somehow, but that also could have just been the subject matter.

I couldn't finish the first chapter. The performer has a very distracting lisp on his s. Maybe I'm just really sensitive to this, but there is no way I can listen to the whole book.
