The Overlords appeared suddenly over every city - intellectually, technologically, and militarily superior to humankind. Benevolent, they made few demands: unify earth, eliminate poverty, and end war. With little rebellion, humankind agreed, and a golden age began.

Matthew Perry is a terrible person
Revisado: 02-19-24
Interesting book, but perry comes off as the worlds biggest narcissist and user of people. Everything bad that happens he blames others. Its sad, hes so desperately trying to come off as a good person. Of course, listening to this knowing he was lying about his sobriety changes your prospective. Id recommend this to anyone with a drug addict in their lives to understand how these people see themselves when they arent 100% sober but pretending to be

The odd wokeness
Revisado: 02-15-24
Interesting story and preformed well. But there were odd comments that had nothing to do with the story and felt like propaganda. Not just the out of left field covid, masks and trans stuff. But it slid in a few times “privacy rights are to dangerous to have with technology”. That never moved the plot forward, felt like they were subliminally convincing us our 4th amendment rights were silly.

Historia
Operation Greylord was the longest and most successful undercover investigation in FBI history, and the largest corruption bust ever in the US. It resulted in bribery and tax charges against 103 judges, lawyers, and other court personnel, and, eventually, more than 70 indictments. And it was led by Terrence Hake, a young assistant prosecutor in the Cook County State's Attorney's Office in Chicago, who worked undercover for nearly four years.

Historia
It was a moment unique in human history: the face-to-face meeting between two men from civilizations a world apart. In 1519, Hernán Cortés arrived on the shores of Mexico, determined not only to expand the Spanish empire but to convert the natives to Catholicism and carry off a fortune in gold. That he saw nothing paradoxical in his intentions is one of the most remarkable and tragic aspects of this unforgettable story.

Historia
Golan Trevize, former councilman of the First Foundation, has chosen the future, and it is Gaia. A superorganism, Gaia is a holistic planet with a common consciousness so intensely united that every dewdrop, every pebble, every being, can speak for all - and feel for all. It is a realm in which privacy is not only undesirable, it is incomprehensible. But is it the right choice for the destiny of mankind? While Trevize feels it is, that is not enough. He must know.

Historia
The Shongairi conquered Earth. In mere minutes, half the human race died, and our cities lay in shattered ruins. But the Shongairi didn't expect the survivors' tenacity. And, crucially, they didn't know that Earth harbored two species of intelligent, tool-using bipeds. One of them, long-lived and lethal, was hiding in the mountains of eastern Europe, the subject of fantasy and legend. When they emerged and made alliance with humankind, the invading aliens didn't stand a chance. Now, a select few blood-drinking immortals are on their way to the Shongairi homeworld.

An interesting ride
Revisado: 01-18-21
As most fans of the first book, I was disappointed with the ending. However, the author did his best to pull this book back into the realm of science fiction v. fantasy.
The first two parts of the book were a tad slow. I felt this book was just setting up the next big book.
The third part of the book was good. This was the stuff we all liked from the first book.
Overall, I was frustrated with the first two parts, the third part made it worth it and was just a set up for the big and final book which will be release in the next ___ years.

No good
Revisado: 11-27-20
The beginning of this book is pretty insufferable. It’s like the author fed the South Park manatees remember berries.
I like the references in the last book, there was no subtlety to this. Hearing Will Weaton recited the lyrics to salt n pepper “push it” almost made me delete the book.
Finally, there is what seemed to be two hours of a prince level battle that didn’t make any sense.
And the ending is trash.
