Incredible Grimdark Fantasy

This book is incredible and I am shocked it only has 52 reviews. I found this book as a recommendation from Joe Abercrombie at the end of one of his First Law books. It did not disappoint! The whole premise of revenge by mercs hopped up on different potions to enhance their ability to kill was not only original and exciting but extremely well done. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy over the age of 13. Really a great book with original ideas

Very few books have ever captured my imagination and had me immersed so far into a story.
TC’s ability to build suspense and danger and keep it throughout a book of this length for multiple pov’s at the same time like this is masterful storytelling.
This author is legit.

That book was just freakin fun to read, it just clicked for me.

This is what I want to read when I buy a fantasy book.
I don’t want to listen to a love story.
Give me scarred, bloody, and guilty all day.

Finally found another good fantasy series!!

I have read a ton books in fantasy genre and have been struggling to find something that really excites me. At least for the first installment, I really enjoy this series so far.
The cover turned me off a bit looked like a romance novel cover but it is actually quite good in my opinion. I would definitely recommend to anyone struggling to find a new fantasy series like myself.

Ya so I’m just gonna say it “Ben Styke is cool as fuck.”… Like almost The Bloody Nine kinda awesome, and I don’t say that lightly.

Overall just really stoked I gave McClellan’s Powder Mage Trilogy and flintlock fantasy a try.

This is a fantastic start to a new series, and after the last series being so good all the way through, I’m very pleased to know exactly what my next purchase will be.

This is a really enjoyable gritty fantasy.

I really like this book, I'm only halfway through so I can't speak on the entirety, but you know when an author has a writing style that you like and T.C. Edge definitely has my attention and I feel immersed in story.

The multiple plot lines are all interesting and as they start to merge together I really enjoy the different perspectives from opposing sides.

I would definitely recommend this book and for those who binge fantasy and are running out of material I would highly recommend it most definitely!

Wow! What a great book, I just checked for 2 days to binge this and my only regret is not waiting until entire series was available. This was a really good book.

Great Fantasy Book!

I like this series even more than Fatemarked which I thought was excellent and I really enjoyed both. This series feels doesn't feel as spread out as the first one even though it's in the same world. it's not skipping around quite as much and I think it helps with immersion into the book.
