too many ideas, not researched enough
Revisado: 10-07-22
I love that Alaina wrote a book, there is potential. However this seemed to pluck the horrors of a various mixture of famous serial killers and then throw it all into a POV from the killers perspective.
this wasn't a book that I wanted to come back to, or remembered what was going on. I ruminated over some of the just wrong facts - spoiler - no one, absolutely no one takes a deer back home to shoot it if it's injured, you deal with it at the scene of the accident.

Historia

She hopes to heal not only the dying landscape, but Aggie, too, unmade by the terrible secrets that drove the sisters out of Alaska. Inti is not the woman she once was, either, changed by the harm she’s witnessed—inflicted by humans on both the wild and each other. Yet as the wolves surprise everyone by thriving, Inti begins to let her guard down, even opening herself up to the possibility of love.

it's a snoozer
Revisado: 08-20-22
I fell asleep and missed 4-5 hours of the storyline and was able to pick it back up as is nothing happened. It drags on. I wish it was one that was included in the subscription, but I wouldn't waste a credit on it again.
accents are fun, fair knowledge of wolves, but ehhhhh... for the story.

definitely not a sleep sound
Revisado: 07-26-21
was hoping for a soundtrack if sounds of bird, waves, ect but it's more of a documentary aimed towards that of children or those without much knowledge of nature. Narrator doesn't have a soothing voice so is definitely not a sleep sound.

can't put it down.
Revisado: 07-19-21
it's been a while since I have chosen a book from the included menu of audible that I haven't been able to put down. usually it's just some sort of poorly written book that I try to listen to it because it's included in my membership. but this book I have not stopped listening to since I've downloaded it from driving across the state, to doing work, to doing chores, to going on my walks it's a really good book it's kind of fluffy but there's good storyline behind it and it really brings you into the background of a performers life.

I've never hated a narrator so much
Revisado: 06-21-21
I have tried starting this book about 3-4 times and I just can't. The rise and fall of the narrator's voice makes it impossible to keep up with the story. I am not usually sensitive to these things - so you know it's bad.

this was a good storyline, a fluff but I wanted to hear how it ended. however the woman reading the book had a terrible male voice impersonation. if you can overlook that. it's a good book.

loving the romance of place
Revisado: 07-12-19
I have the audible romance package because I go through audiobooks faster than my credits can handle and it's cheaper to just do this. You get a little sick of the gushy romance and it's rare to find anything that has any literary merit... but this is it!
I love lake Superior, I know how it calls to you. This did have some romance between people, but there was also just the love of a town, the love of a place, and a book that held you on your seat as you got shuffled along in the waves of a good story.
