way better than i thought

this book gave me much more than i thought it would. Teddy Hamilton always gives a great performance and this is no exception. the ending actually made me tear up. it was perfect. if you're on the edge of listening, give it a chance, you'll probably like it

Can't even pay attention

the story might be decent but I just can't pay attention with the GOD AWFUL narrator. I can't tell the characters apart in the slightest. The weird accents were just not it. i could not finish it. It was that awful. People HAVE to be lying about liking this narrator because WHAT EVEN?!

Almost loved it

the ending honestly ruined it for me. so many of the arguments made no sense. I loved the first book but this one... made me not even want to tell others to read it. I was hoping the reviews were wrong but... no such luck. I feel let down honestly. here's hoping others like it more.

listen... I love a good step situation and this hit all the marks for me. i really enjoyed it. it had me squealing with some parts. it reminded me of another book i loved a lot and the guys made bets all the time. it made me smile a lot!

i ESPECIALLY loved the mom. she's a rockstar and deserves the world. and as someone with a drug addict brother, this hit home hard. he doesn't contact me unless he's in trouble or needs money. it's so hard bc you just want to be there for them but you also can't let it hurt you. i felt so much for troy 💔

Okay story, narrator horrible

The story was alright. The narrator seriously took away from the story. her voice just grated on me. her timing is so inconsistent ot made it difficult to understand parts because the wrong inflection was used, over and over

Great story! Mid Narrator

I thoroughly enjoyed the story. it was an interesting take and kept me engaged throughout. I was hooked till the very last words.

Now on the narrator- Rebecca... she sounded like she had a cold on an off through the entire novel- very nasely and stuffy. I'm not chastising anyone for being sick or anything, but for voice work it was really noticable. She was really inconsistent with voices and I often mixed up Violet with Xaden and many others. She had a nice voice, but the performance was lacking and it effected the experience.

I really liked the story overall. The only part I wasn't a fan of was the ending. It felt a bit rushed compared to the other parts of the novel.
A lot will comment about the author's voice but honestly it wasn't as bad once I had listened for a few chapters .

Although there is a r*pe scene, it is well done. it really resonated with me. I think if there is any way to do a scene like this, that was it.

Overall the story sucked me in. we learn a lot about current characters as well as some new characters.

it's worth the read. but if you have any type of PTSD, procede with caution.

loved from the first word

I loved this. I couldn't wait to get the the next part, but now that it's over, I'm sad. It just ends and I'm here wanting to know how the rest of everyone's lives go on from there!

The book is phenomenal. Read it. Take a chance on it, you will not regret it.
