Historia
All that stands between the advancing army of trolls and the endangered fortress of Phylangan is a coalition force led by Alfadas, human hero and protector. He’s amassed his own legion of swordsmen, elves, and ragtag thieves to stave off the enemy. And the next move they make could be the most dangerous one of all. Those Alfadas has left behind are more vulnerable than ever - including his star-crossed elven love; their newborn child; and Queen Emerelle herself, who remains comatose and is powerless to safeguard her compromised kingdom.

The repetitive theme of heros dying, stood out the most. just when you thought the good was about to get the upper hand they all died.

Revisado: 10-07-23
The gripping story was like watching a movie, very well narrated. All having watched the Grey Man movie I was expecting the book to be similar, I was surprised this book was far better than the screen portrait.

Summers span decades. Winter can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun. As Warden of the north, Lord Eddard Stark counts it a curse when King Robert bestows on him the office of the Hand. His honour weighs him down at court where a true man does what he will, not what he must...and a dead enemy is a thing of beauty. The old gods have no power in the south, Stark’s family is split and there is treachery at court. Worse, the vengeance-mad heir of the deposed Dragon King has grown to maturity in exile in the Free Cities. He claims the Iron Throne.

Revisado: 12-29-22
I have watched the series and now listened to the book. I feel the book is even more appealing, it explains the story better than the series in some cases. Roy Dotrice kept the book alive, I am amazed by his accents and portrail of the characters, remaining constant throughout the entire reading. Now for the next book ...

Historia
His vengeance against the gods of Olympus years behind him, Kratos now lives as a man in the realm of Norse gods and monsters. It is in this harsh, unforgiving world that he must fight to survive...and teach his son to do the same. This startling reimagining of God of War deconstructs the core elements that defined the series - satisfying combat, breathtaking scale, and a powerful narrative - and fuses them anew.

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

wheel of time ... if you have lots of time
Revisado: 03-12-20
The previous book in the series started to get very tedious. This book has been frustratingly boring. The story seemed to go nowhere fast. I sometimes enjoy a book with descriptive text, but reading about dreams that have little if no bearing on a story and highly descriptive views of mostly female anatomy are over the top.
I tried forcing my way through this book but failed.

Historia
According to mythology, mankind used to live in 'The Tranquiline Halls': heaven. But then the Voidbringers assaulted and captured heaven, casting out God and men. Men took root on Roshar, the world of storms, but the Voidbringers followed. The Almighty gave men powerful suits of armor and mystical weapons, the Shardblades. Led by 10 angelic Heralds and 10 orders of knights known as Radiants, mankind finally won (or so the legends say).

Embed yourself in a world of stormlight
Revisado: 06-26-19
Brandon Sanderson has a wonderful imagination. His books open a world of science fiction and fantasy whilst conveying a strong sense of human emotion. I am amazed by the way Brandon depicts fight scenes. It feels like you are there watching silently, not being able to do anything. There are times I have sat in my car at the side of a road finishing a scene not wanting to let the audio book go until the fight is finished. Michael and Kate have done a fantastic job reading this story, it is better than watching a movie mostly because the story lasts longer.
