Historia
Most books about the history of humanity pursue either a historical or a biological approach, but Dr. Yuval Noah Harari breaks the mold with this highly original book. From examining the role evolving humans have played in the global ecosystem to charting the rise of empires, Sapiens integrates history and science to reconsider accepted narratives, connect past developments with contemporary concerns, and examine specific events within the context of larger ideas.

Historia
Congratulations - you are an IT manager and you've been given a budget to work with. Oh, oh, now what? Oh, and if you're going to want any money next year, you had better learn how to ask for more money. This budget stuff can be tricky. The fact that we talk about budgets using a vocabulary that most IT managers probably don't have (or at least don't use every day) makes it just a bit harder.

terrible audiobook

Would you try another book from James Anderson and/or Jim Anderson?
no
Would you ever listen to anything by James Anderson again?
no
How did the narrator detract from the book?
the book is only 54 minutes and half of it is just summary of the what was just said so the actual book is less than 30 min. the repetitiveness was so annoying I wish there was a way to remove this book from audible.
What character would you cut from IT Manager Budgeting Skills: How IT Managers Can Request, Manage, Use, And Track Their Funding?
there are no characters in this book just a bunch of babbling useless information.
Any additional comments?
just repeating some general nonsense that has no valuable insight on IT budgeting.

Historia
In The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo, Amy mines her past for stories about her teenage years, her family, relationships, and sex and shares the experiences that have shaped who she is - a woman with the courage to bare her soul to stand up for what she believes in, all while making us laugh. Down to earth and relatable, frank and unapologetic, Amy Schumer is one of us: She relies on her sister for advice, still hangs out with her high school pals, and continues to navigate the ever-changing boundaries in love, work, and life.

Caught me off guard

I really like this book it was definitely not what I expected. I thought this would be purely comedic when I bought it and I thought I was going to return it. But then I was hooked it was so honest and raw. It takes you on a rollercoaster of sad, scary, funny and happy. She kind of let's you see into her soul and you are the therapist of her very human experiences. I did not see her in this light before because I only knew her for the hilarious comedy Central shows and stand up.

Technological advances have benefited our world in immeasurable ways, but there is an ominous flip side: our technology can be turned against us. Hackers can activate baby monitors to spy on families, thieves are analyzing social media posts to plot home invasions, and stalkers are exploiting the GPS on smart phones to track their victims’ every move. We all know today’s criminals can steal identities, drain online bank accounts, and wipe out computer servers, but that’s just the beginning.

The ideas in this book totally blew my mind. Starting off slow with the obvious things like malware it introduces the future of hacking that I hadn't even imagined with bio hacking and IOT hacking. Highly recommended this book it's like yang to the book bold and 2nd machine age.
