It was so nice to find a book written by someone who can actually relate to the frustration of being a fully grown adult with ADHD. I am constantly annoyed with myself for being so easily distracted. I learned long ago to implement some of these strategies such as making lists and breaking things into smaller tasks because duh, that is what literally everyone tells you to do when you have ADHD. What was really helpful though was the superhero approach to figuring out what my strengths are. I appreciated the reminder that my empathy and ability to zoom in on things when needed are actually a blessing.

I listened to this book on audible and loved the humor and quick pace. It didn’t get boring and kept me engaged which as anyone with ADHD will tell you, isn’t an easy feat. I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for new ideas on how to finally tackle the messes. Buy the book though since you will want the QR codes for the quizzes and you will want to review. This is a book well worth having on the shelf!

I found this to be a delightful read that captured the bittersweet joy of finding yourself after the kids have left you wondering what to do with your life. Her blend of warmth and wit turns what could be a melancholy subject into a heartwarming celebration of freedom. Who knew the "empty nest" could be so full of adventure and self-discovery?

Daric’s writing felt like catching up with an old friend—someone who's ready to laugh at life’s unexpected twists. The humor throughout the book is light, and I found myself nodding along as she navigated the ups and downs of this new phase of life with grace. If you’re an empty nester yourself (or just bracing for it), Empty Nest, Open Sky might just make you feel like a world of possibilities is waiting for you… and maybe a spontaneous trip to Paris, too!

A must-read for anyone ready to spread their wings a little wider.

This book should be required reading in High School. So many people struggle with money even after working for their whole lives. This book teaches how to take the steps, early in life, to avoid financial pitfalls later. If every kid read this book and then put its clear instructions into practice, we wouldn’t have to worry so much about the future generations and more parents would be able to spend their money during their own retirements instead of trying to make sure that they could leave money to their kids. If you want to give your kids the best shot in life, have them read this book and do the exercises in it. You and your kids will be glad you did!

I loved this book because it reminded me of what I think we all know is true. That it isn’t what happens to us in life, but how we deal with it that makes or breaks us. I appreciated getting some background on the great stoic philosophers like Marcus Aurelious and the authors own take on things. Overall it is a great reminder to keep perspective on life! Definitely worth the time!

The authors emphasis on the mind-gut connection is particularly noteworthy to me since I have long suspected that part of my issue is stress related. He explores how stress, sleep, and mental health impact gut health, offering techniques to manage stress and improve sleep quality. This holistic approach underscores the interconnectedness of physical and mental well-being. I have made adjustments to my sleep hygiene and my diet and can already see a real difference.

Overall, "Gut Health for Life" is an essential read for anyone looking to improve their digestive health and overall wellness.

I didn’t expect this book to be so funny. Within these pages, there are so many great tools for calming down and being non reactive when dealing with a child who is being difficult. The host of practical techniques and strategies for disciplining a child to change their behavior without crushing their self esteem are invaluable. I really appreciated the lessons on disarming triggers and becoming non reactive. This book is also beautifully narrated and I enjoyed listening to it!

I really appreciated that this author took the time to cover everything relating to PCOS and fertility. I truly believe our diets determine so many aspects of our health and well being, and this wholistic approach to managing the difficulties of this issue is truly helpful to me. The narrator does a great job of not sounding condescending and relaying this information in an easily digestible way. This book is a great help to someone who is dealing with this difficult situation.

I loved that book was written by a woman who has her own experience with ADHD and gives practical advice and information on how to handle mine. It is so frustrating to have this diagnosis and it is so helpful to know that I am not alone. This book has inspired me to stop being mad at myself for constantly losing my train of thought and never being able to focus on anything I am doing long enough to finish it before finding myself doing something else because now I know that there is help out there. I will be finding a doctor who can work with me on figuring out how to address this within the perimeters of my other meds and health conditions (getting old ain’t for sissies!) I will be recommending this book to the multitude of other women I know who struggle with the same symptoms and keeping my eyes open for other books by this author!
