Historia
In this unplanned conversation, Amanda speaks up for everyone who’s been labeled a “Control Freak” – anyone who feels like they have to hold up the entire sky for their families or businesses – when what they really want is to feel supported and safe. Amanda shares vulnerably about: how she became an overfunctioner, the blessings and curses of being one, and the practical strategies she’s using to let go – and what her partner is doing to make her feel like she can finally try to relax. If this episode resonates, go back and listen to OVERWHELM: Is our exhaustion a sign that...

Historia
Harley Merlin can sense people's emotions, among other things. It's how she snagged her first job pinpointing cheaters at a casino. But she has no clue where she got these freakish powers because she spent her childhood jumping from home to home in the foster system, and her father left her with nothing more than a cryptic note. Then she crosses paths with a terrifyingly real monster. Which is when a mysterious and annoyingly arrogant young warlock named Wade Crowley steps in, introducing her to a hidden world of beasts, magicals, and covens riddled with secrets.

It was a struggle to finish this book. The story is interesting enough but the characters I could not handle. There is the classic trope of the main character falling for the bad boy, that is really just a jerk and a creep. I just couldn't get behind it, it made no sense. Also the whole world the author creates sounds so lame and cheesy and at times just nonsensical.
