Historia
Harry Booth started stealing at nine to keep a roof over his ailing mother’s head, slipping into luxurious, empty homes at night to find items he could trade for precious cash. When his mother finally succumbed to cancer, he left Chicago—but kept up his nightwork, developing into a master thief with a code of honor and an expertise in not attracting attention—or getting attached.

Nightwork without spoilers
Revisado: 03-04-25
I liked the way the characters were involved and entwined at times. It kept it interesting and kept me listening.
I had to backup a few times to make sure I understood where they were but that was mostly because I may have been doing something at the same time.
I really enjoyed when he started teaching and working with the kids and plays for the school. It kept his character fun and entertaining.
The only thing that confused me at times was the change of his names. But again, I think that was just me and what I was doing when listening.
Looking for my next read by Nora for after I move.

Meredith and Nina Whitson are as different as sisters can be. One stayed at home to raise her children and manage the family apple orchard; the other followed a dream and traveled the world to become a famous photojournalist. But when their beloved father falls ill, Meredith and Nina find themselves together again, standing alongside their cold, disapproving mother, Anya, who even now, offers no comfort to her daughters.

The Winter Garden… Captivating!
Revisado: 04-13-24
I did not know what to expect. This book was captivating! Every chance I had, I listened. Kristen is an amazing writer. The way she brings her characters, her stories, to life. You can feel yourself as part of the story.
Dare to dream your future, Dare to remember the past. The life each character has is so detailed, so beautiful yet so sad. The family turmoil, the love, devastation, strength… just when you think you may know where it’s leading… you don’t.
I do not like to give anything away. Just know that you will get all the feels while reading or listening to this book.

This book was free so I downloaded it. I was pleasantly surprised on how much I enjoyed it. Just like a book and not wanting to put it down, I didn’t want to “shut it off.” I’ve never been to Hawaii, but I felt that I could visualize where we were all the time. Kay created some great characters and I enjoyed each of them. I’d you like an easy read/listen, with some twists, you will enjoy this book. It took me less than 2 days to finish this last fall.

Another good book by Kay! I enjoyed the storyline, the mysteries held within. However I felt the book started off slow and was a bit drab in the beginning. It picked up, the characters started coming in to play more. I liked having this book be from Jules perspective, and hearing more about her past life.
Without getting into the book, I will say it’s a nice way to finish off the series.
Well done Kay!!!

No Place Too Far… another Excellent book
Revisado: 02-26-24
I didn’t know this was a series, so when I saw this I immediately began this book. As soon as it started I was able to refresh my memory of who the characters were, especially at the mention of Quinn. And very quickly I was pulled into the story as if I was there. Another great book that made you feel part of it. Descriptive and full of details, I didn’t feel like I missed anything. Even leading up to the minute of Maggie coming to be with her stalker. A bit intense but nothing major. I’m going to start the third book tomorrow!! I finished this within a day and a half.

Historia
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe. Catch a tiger by its toe. It's seared into Atlee Pine's memory: the kidnapper's chilling rhyme as he chose between six-year-old Atlee and her twin sister, Mercy. Mercy was taken. Atlee was spared. She never saw Mercy again. Three decades after that terrifying night, Atlee Pine works for the FBI. She's the lone agent assigned to the Shattered Rock, Arizona resident agency, which is responsible for protecting the Grand Canyon. So when one of the Grand Canyon's mules is found stabbed to death at the bottom of the canyon - and its rider missing - Pine is called in to investigate.

I don’t listen to audiobooks too often, but I have to say this book was excellently done! I love the readers and their acting ability. I felt like I was there with them throughout it.
Great story! Easy to keep up with, tho at times I did rewind to listen again.
Not wanting to say too much, I’m looking forward to move Baldacci books! Another great read in the books for me!
