Historia
Folks in Moab live for ice cream socials, baseball, and the local paper’s weekly gossip column. Sheriff Winston Browne has watched over Moab with a generous eye for a decade, and by now he’s used to handling the daily dramas that keep life interesting for Moab’s quirky residents. But just after Winston receives some terrible, life-altering news, a seemingly mute runaway with no clear origin arrives in Moab. The residents do what they believe is right and take her in - until two suspicious strangers arrive and begin looking for her.

I haven't listened to a book this well written in a very long time. I will definitely read or listen to more from Sean Dietrich.

Historia
When Marilyn Kleinman is caught making out with the rabbi’s son in front of the whole congregation, her parents ship her off to her great-aunt Ada for the summer. If anyone can save their daughter’s reputation, it’s Philadelphia’s strict premier matchmaker. Either that or Marilyn can kiss college goodbye. To Marilyn’s surprise, Ada’s not the humorless septuagenarian her mother described. Not with that platinum-blonde hair, Hermès scarf, and Cadillac convertible. She’s sharp, straight-talking, takes her job very seriously, and abides by her own rules…mostly.

Meh...
Revisado: 11-30-24
The interesting character of Ada and her banter with Marilyn kept me listening to the end, but the story is shallow with tired woke themes (the dominating patriarchy, love is love, the joy of feminism vs the enslavement of traditional family values) wrecked it for me. I saw the "twist" at the end coming from the beginning and was hoping it would be more unpredictable.

Historia
Cameron Winter was born with the ability to recreate detailed crime scenes in his imagination and dissect the motives and encounters that produced them. And after reading a puzzling news story about a wealthy family killed in a small town in the Chicago suburbs, he can't resist the chance to apply this deductive power in the pursuit of justice for the victims. Three members of the family, along with their live-in nanny, were pulled from their burning mansion, already dead from gunshot wounds. The only survivor is a young boy whose memory of the event raises more questions than answers.

Excellent writing

Highly recommend this book for anyone who loves character driven mysteries. It should be a New York Times bestseller, but the author doesn't cave to woke propaganda.

The Surprising Rebirth of Belief in God

Historia
Justin Brierley is convinced that in our time we are witnessing a growing wave of faith. Famously described as the “long, withdrawing roar” of the “Sea of Faith,” the Christian narrative that shaped the West has been replaced by sweeping secularism. But is that the end of the story? It was a conversation with agnostic journalist Douglas Murray that led Brierley to investigate whether a change was on the horizon.

Encouraging read!

I'm so glad I took the time to listen to this book by Justin B. It confirmed what I have already been suspecting. That even though culture is growing darker by the day, God is up to something wonderful! After listening to this audiobook, I am more inspired than ever to seek God and pray for a great repentance and awakening.
