The author played it safe with the plot. It’s a good read if you’re looking for something simple. Plenty spice but nor much excitement that wasn’t predictable. I’ll give book 2 a chance.

I am not a fan of Maxine Mitchell. Usually it’s because she sounds monotone and flat but in this series the constant crackling whining is exhausting. With Natalie being written as a naive prude I found myself skipping some of her dialogue. Especially the spicy scenes.

Made it to chapter 23… Narration was good but the story was incredibly slow and boring. There’s no grit, suspense or action that you find in most MC romances.
It’s been 10hrs of inner monologue and no action. Even the relationships develop at a slow pace.

Omg I waited for their story and was not disappointed. Flame is the epitome of “I will destroy the world to save her”. Despite all the trauma they have experienced, they share such a pure and beautiful type of love. Truly moving and worth the credit.

Lots of pointless drama. little to no action, suspense, or violence. Even the sex scenes got boring. The reality show Mob Wives had better storylines than this. Needless to say, after watching the movie on Netflix and reading the first book, this book was very anti-climatic. To end such a story with a cliffhanger was not a good move.😒
