Hard to finish

It was not what I thought it would be from the description. There is definitely a twist ending but I wouldn’t say a good one. I felt very confused through the whole book and then the ending is like, oh…oook. I struggled to finish and almost returned it several times. The narrator was decent but the characters were not like able and almost awkward. I just missed the mark for me.

I finished the book but

The whole thing just rubbed me the wrong way. The daughter is missing and they’re having sex drinking champagne and grilling steaks within days of meeting...they would SAY how concerned they were but their actions (or inaction) said otherwise. And the sex scenes were super corny like “you got it, cowboy” I don’t know, I just found myself rolling my eyes on several occasions and I didn’t really care for the book.
