Historia
Meghan, Brecia, and Skye have just one thing in common. They were all murdered by the same man. He hunted them online, masquerading as an eligible bachelor. Then he played the perfect gentleman, a thick layer of charm and a thousand-watt smile hiding the fact that his first dates end in shallow graves. He’s gotten away with murder three times now. The only thing that might keep him from killing again? The women he murdered. Meghan, Brecia, and Skye might be dead, but they’re not gone. They’ve found each other. And they won’t rest until they find a way to stop him. The haunt is on.

Unlike anything I've read/listened to before
Revisado: 10-30-24
I was skeptical going into this thinking...how good could it really be - but from start to finish it kept my attention & I absolutely loved how everything flowed together.
The entire storyline is unlike anything out there & that is a difficult thing to find, a book that isn't somehow a re-telling of something I'd already read. It's incredibly original & I truly can't wait to listen to the next book from this author.
I listened to this in 1 day, unable to stop.
The characters are well written & likeable & the whole time you're listening, you will want to shout the same things they do.
My favorite original piece to the story was the way death was explained. I love this as a possibility in reality of endless memories in addition to the capability to speak to loved ones as they're dreaming or put thoughts into their heads while they're sleeping after we're gone. Fantastic thought process!!

Iris and Gabriel have just arrived home from a make-or-break holiday. But a shock awaits them. One of their closest friends, Laure, is in their house. The atmosphere quickly becomes tense as she oversteps again and again: sleeping in their bed, wearing Iris' clothes, even rearranging the furniture. Laure has walked out on her husband—and their good friend—Pierre, over his confession of an affair and a secret child. Iris and Gabriel want to be supportive of their friends, but as Laure's mood becomes increasingly unpredictable, her presence takes its toll.

She did it again. Pure magic.
Revisado: 10-14-24
BA Paris has this incredible storytelling ability that is like magic. Every time you think you have it figured out....you don't. I listened in 1 sitting unable to turn it off. Not until the very last few sentences do you know the truth & for this I applaud her because so many books as of late have a conclusion so predictable, but this is completely unpredictable. One of the best authors out there today. Time after time, story after story, the tales told weave a storyline that is fresh & new.

Revisado: 10-03-24
I was instantly hooked from chapter 1, which is super rare for me & every time I tried to figure out what was happening, I was at a loss - that too is difficult for me to find in a book as everythinghas become so predictable. By the last couple chapters as you think you have finally experienced the big reveal, I began to feel disappointed because that plot line was 1 I had thought of.....you find out you are once again, totally wrong. Then just as you think it's going to disappoint with an ending leaving you wondering - it doesn't & brings everything full circle. Very well written. Absolutely amazing twists & turns, along with the insane emotions you feel throughout listening. Just...WOW!! The narrator was fabulous which is always a huge plus. I think this is the 3rd 5 star I've given in a 10yr membership to audible.

Historia
Available for the first time as an audiobook in this original Outlander novella, Diana Gabaldon reveals what really happened to Roger MacKenzie Wakefield’s parents. Orphaned during World War II, Roger believed that his mother died during the London Blitz, and that his father, an RAF pilot, was killed in combat. But in An Echo in the Bone, Roger discovers that this may not be the whole story. Now, in "A Leaf on the Wind of All Hallows," readers finally learn the truth.

It's definitely not my favorite
Revisado: 10-27-23
I was actually disappointed in this. No twists, to turns, straightforward & overall boring. If I could go back & tell myself to just leave this 1 be, I would. If you have time to kill, sure, listen away.....but if you're expecting a typical BA Paris, amazing story - this isn't it. Every author has that 1 book that falls flat & seems rushed for the sake of putting out a novel & I guess this is hers.

His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. This is 1 of those stories that you start & just can not stop no matter what you need to do or should be doing. Finished in 1 day because everything else can wait.. IMO, this is SKs best work. The storyline, the characters, the narration....all sheer perfection. You will not regret listening to this at all except for the day you will lose because you won't get anything done.... and every time you start doing something, you'll stop in your tracks to listen closer, jaw dropped. You've been warned.

Don't waste your time
Revisado: 09-23-23
This is the last time I let 'Book Tok' suggest anything. I had to listen to this at 2.00 speed to get through this & I'm left wondering why I continued beyond the 1st 5 mins. This was the most horrible thing I've ever forced by ears to listen to. The writer tried so hard to create horror p*rn that had me rolling my eyes. 0 storyline you can follow along with, a forced shock effect that leaves you incredibly bored & and the narrator is terrible...don't get me started on the random male voice that pops in making you want to cringe.
I should've paid more attention to these reviews as opposed to TikTok reviews from people who clearly don't know talent from misery.
Spare yourself this waste of time & $..

Historia
There is a serial killer on the loose preying on vulnerable women. The only identifiable mark the killer leaves are letters - sometimes one, sometimes two - all carved into the torsos of his victims. Together, they spell “Sydney”. When he grabs Daisy Dawson, he believes he has found his next victim. But despite her small stature, she fights back with an expertise that quickly frees her. Before fleeing the scene, Daisy also manages to grab what proves to be crucial evidence: a necklace from around the killer’s neck.

Too predictable for me
Revisado: 09-23-23
I struggled to listen & keep up with this to the point that in the end, when they were talking about how 'he must me a flight attendant or something in aviation', I paused & went... huh? when did they mention that?.. over 3 weeks, it took me to finish this. I went on 4 flights over 10 hrs long & rathered stare into space, then listen to this... stuck in airports over 24 hours total & preferred to stare at the floor, over listening to this.
The narration was annoying & made Gideon sound like a confused 4 yo. The only reason I gave it 3 stars for performance was that Irina's accent was sheer perfection.
I am truly unsure why there are so many positive reviews when this story had 0 surprises, I never once connected to any of the characters & by the end, didn't care what happened to anyone as long as the book was done.
Never again with this author & never again with this narrator.
*sigh* That's time I'll never get back in life...

Not my favorite.
Revisado: 09-02-23
I listened to this in 1 sitting on a long drive & found myself actually disappointed in this author for the 1st time. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't horrible. It just fell below my expectations of what she's written & I've experienced prior. I continued to hold out hope that something, anything was going to happen to make me love this book as I've loved every other book from this author but as the ending came...all I found myself saying was that I wanted my 5 hrs back.
The narrator was also difficult to listen to & caused me to need to put this on super speed just to get through it.
So if this is your 1st BA Paris book, you'll probably enjoy it.....however, if you've already lived through the excitement & nail biting anticipation of her others - you may find yourself in the same predicament of annoyance & disappointment that I found myself in.
