Historia
Beckett: If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have. I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride. My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart.

This book absolutely destroyed me
Revisado: 07-27-24
***Update***
I changed my mind. This book was beautiful… but if you are military, a parent, sad already, hormonal, a twin, experienced the loss of a friend or family member untimely or just have any form of empathy I do NOT recommend this book. Yeah there is some romance/smut but the love story, while center stage… does not change the fact that Im still blowing snot bubbles an hour later and super pissed at the person who wrote this book because I dont think I will ever quite recover.
*********
This book absolutely destroyed me. I have cried before at a book, but this one had me full on sobbing. The book is a 10/10… but reader beware… I had snot bubbles. I still haven’t finished it… not sure I can.

I've seen it all.... A boy who planned to be the next school shooter. A patient with OCD whose loved ones really did suffer every time he missed a ritual. A choir boy who claimed he was being molested - not by a priest - but by God Himself. A patient with PTSD who gave me nightmares. A husband and wife who accused each other of abuse, and only one of them was telling the truth.

Historia
Of the 1.3 million active-duty service members in the US military, only a tiny fraction are selected as “operators.” Shannon Kent was one of the first women to serve at this level and was widely recognized as one of the best. Shannon served as a Navy cryptologic technician, responsible for signals intelligence and electronic warfare, but her proficiency with language set her apart. She was assigned to a unit so secretive that its name can’t even be printed here, where she worked clandestinely to hunt the most wanted terrorists in the world.

Not sure what to think
Revisado: 12-01-23
This book started with very little context and was hard to get into at first. Not my general cup of tea for smut books… but there wasnt an overload of it. The characters relationships were really fast with little build up. The only reason Im getting the second book is because it left on a cliffhanger. Overall OK… not something I will read again, and definitely not a book I had trouble putting down.

Wow….what a wonderful book. I asked my friends on social media to recommend a favorite novel/book/ or story of theirs and it was my New Year Resolution to read at least 12 books I normally wouldnt buy in 2023. This is the first book I chose from this list, and I absolutely adored it. By the end I had tears in my eyes and goosebumps

I laughed out loud and sobbed all at once.
Revisado: 09-06-20
Where to begin.....this isn't a self help book or anything like I have ever read before. my friend recommended it and I looked it up and saw the 5 star review. I listened to the preview and I was absolutely hooked. I became so invested in the clients in this book and there evolution was heartbreaking and beautiful and so awesome to watch. I literally would laugh out loud in one chapter and the next be sobbing so hard I had to take a moment to collect my thoughts. This author is an absolute incredible writer and honestly made me sit back and reflect on myself as I was listening....this is a book that I think I will enjoy coming back to again in a few years. If you are looking for a new read do yourself a favor and buy the book....you most likely wont be sorry!

So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.
