Historia
Judge Richard Quinn is young, idealistic, and honest to a fault. That's why he's handed the most sensational homicide case in Oregon history. Locked in a race for the U.S. Senate, Ellen Crease gunned down the intruder who murdered her wealthy husband. In a single, brutal instant she became a widow, a victim, and a hero. Yet disturbing questions remain. What secrets did the man who started his fortune running mortuaries keep that might have cost him his life?

Another case of narration ruining a good story
Revisado: 10-20-13
I loved the story line and probably would have been more involved in the characters if the narration wasn't so whiny and poorly read. If Jay Snyder, Lou Diamond Phillips or another narrator who had acting skills and a better delivery narrated this book, it would have been so much better. Sadly, another case of buy the book or don't bother.

Somehow, Harvath must evade the teams dispatched to kill him long enough to untangle who has framed him and why they want him out of the way.

Thor's "FACTION" at its best !!!
Revisado: 03-19-13
Not only does Brad Thor thoroughly research the technology in this (and all) his books, it is frighteningly prophetic of what is happening with our government leadership right now. Thor's sources for information provide him with the guts for this fascinating and fabulous Harvath book !

Historia
Who am I? My name is Christy Snow. I'm 17 and I'm about to die. I'm buried in a coffin under tons of concrete. No one knows where I am. My heart sounds like a monster with clobber feet, running straight toward me. I'm lying on my back, soaked with sweat from the hair on my head to the soles of my feet. My hands and feet won't stop shaking. Some will say that I'm not really here. Some will say I'm delusional. Some will say that I don t even exist. But who are they? I'm the one buried in a grave.

Horrendous story - makes me angry I wasted money
Revisado: 03-19-13
I kept waiting for this story to evolve. The psychological thrill just set me on edge (and not in a good way). I pushed through it hoping it was for a good reason and that the plot would become clear - it never really did. When the book FINALLY ended, it made me feel as though I just wasted time for a fantasy that was just plain stupid.

In Ava’s dreams, her son, Noah, looks just the way she remembers him: a sweet two-year-old in rolled-up jeans and a red sweatshirt. When Ava wakes, the agonizing truth hits her all over again. Noah went missing two years ago, and his body has never been found. Almost everyone, including Ava’s semi-estranged husband, Wyatt, assumes the boy drowned after falling off the dock near their Church Island home. Can't stop listening....
Revisado: 08-15-12
I don't know what a previous reviewer was thinking when he said this book was a waste of money. Thankfully I didn't listen to him being a prior Lisa Jackson fan. All the previous reviewer focused on was the writing style.
I thought "You Don't Want to Know" was a great thriller with so many twists and turns right to the very end that I was fascinated by the storyline. I couldn't wait to see who did it and how they were connected to the main character, Ava Garrison. One reviewer said he was tired of the main character's mood swings, etc. That was almost the entire point of what was going on in the book. Not saying anymore about that so I don't give away the plot.
If you want a good psychological thriller, then listen to this book.

As usual - FABULOUS
Revisado: 07-15-12
I love this Karin Slaughter series. This has been my favorite book in the series to date. I don't want to give anything away but the way she went back to 1975 and present was so interesting because it gave us our first glimpse of tough as nails Amanda Wagner as she first started out on the police force. It was great to see what made her develop into the force of nature she is now. I wish I could say more but I don't want to give a thing away.
If you have enjoyed the characters of Will Trent, Amanda Wagner, etc. before, this is A MUST READ !

Revisado: 07-15-12
If you want to listen to a book that ends with no resolution then this is the book for you.
If you want to listen to a book that actually has a resolution and you aren't left hanging at the end then don't buy this book. It was a great story until the end when it stopped. Seriously doesn't James Patterson have enough money (he writes and co-writes so many books I can't count them)? Instead he leaves this book (in my opinion) in the middle. This book could have been so good if he finished it and resolved the final showdown instead of waiting and making people buy another one to see what happens to Michael Bennett. I for one am done with James Patterson.

I really enjoyed this book. It was fast paced and there was a lot of action without lots wasted words. The narration was done quite well too. I will definitely add this author to my "watch for new books" list.

Great Nesbo Story - HORRIFIC narration.
Revisado: 11-28-11
If you've listened to any newer Nesbo books, do NOT go back and listen to this one. The storyline was pure and perfect Nesbo but the narrator was so bad, I could never tell who was talking to whom. This is a definte book to read, unless it is re-recorded with the current narrator of Nesbo's books. BUY the book, it is a great story although I deeply regret spending the money to listen to it.

Hewson's Best Yet
Revisado: 11-28-11
I've listened to all of Hewson's books and this is my favorite to date. The main characters (i.e. Nic Costa, etc.) are the same as in the previous books and the story is very well done. The descriptions of Rome and the inner turmoil of the cast of characters are, as usual, fabulous. The storyline kept me wondering the entire time...I won't reveal more about it so I don't ruin it for you. Saul Reichlin does a great job with the narration. If you are a Hewson fan, then this is a must listen !
