A magnificent story of courage and fortitude and grace. Sometimes heartbreaking. Ultimately inspiring.

Edward Herrmann is the greatest narrator of our generation. We were lucky he lived in our time.

An historical study of Shakespeare's life and times. I never new there was so much information available. I've ordered a copy of the book and I will listen to the book again. Peter Ackroyd is a magnificent writer. The reader of this book is perfect.

What made the experience of listening to The Coldest Winter the most enjoyable?

I did not know much about the Korean War although I remember it as a child. This, I'm sorry to say, was David Halbertam's last book. I hung on every word.

What did you like best about this story?

His history fills in all the blanks in my knowledge of what happened there.

What about Edward Herrmann’s performance did you like?

Edward Hermann's performance was magnificent, as usual.

Any additional comments?

I wish this book was not abridged. The combination of Halbertam as author and Hermann's as reader are unforgettable.
