Historia
When Chris McDougall agreed to take in a donkey from an animal hoarder, he thought it would be no harder than the rest of the adjustments he and his family had made after moving from Philadelphia to the heart of Pennsylvania Amish country. But when he arrived, Sherman was in such bad shape he could barely move, and his hair was coming out in clumps. Chris decided to undertake a radical rehabilitation program designed not only to heal Sherman's body but to heal his mind as well - and so Chris decided to teach Sherman how to run.

Don’t dismiss Sherman
Revisado: 05-17-23
I skipped past this many times, thinking there’s no way I’d care about a story about a donkey. How wrong was I! This is one of the best stories I’ve ever listened too. So many characters and all brought together by the author’s narration.
Don’t compare this to Born To Run. There’s no need to. This stands by itself and I was sorry it ended.

Another good story, but…
Revisado: 07-21-22
I really like Alan Furst’s books, but wish he would stop with the unnecessary and cringe-worthy love scenes and “panty” fetish.

Very good. Better than expected.
Revisado: 06-08-21
I love books about running and have binged on books by Vassos Alexander, Scott Jurek, etc. I held off buying this one because despite the positive reviews I thought it was mainly about someone’s crappy life being transformed by running and I didn’t much care. However I soon did care and although finding happiness through running is a part of it, there is no sob story here. Amusing, informative, was sad when it was over.

Excellent story. Loved it.

Great story. Good and long. The only stars I withheld was for too many pauses (for effect?) between words by the narrator. Wouldn’t stop me buying but bugged me.
