The ending.
Revisado: 04-09-25
I felt the last chapter was the best part for me. As much as I want to vent about the book, I have to say this is something someone shared about their life. Maybe when I’m not so angry or upset this book may be enjoyed by me, or not. I’ll try again to read it another time.

Was hard to continue, but kept going.
Revisado: 10-06-24
I had a lot of things in my past that are hard to get over. Reading/listening to this book I had to pause. Thankfully got to the end of the audio book, and I see now that bad things can also make people and myself stronger. I even learned how to make a moment of fear into a moment of solutions and courage, but to also let out the fear when I’m safe to right away.

Historia
Seventeenth-century England, and a plough uncovers a grisly skull in the furrows of a farmer's field. The skull disappears, but its malefic influence begins to work in insidious ways upon the nearby village of Hexbridge. First, the cows stop milking and the fruit turns rotten on the trees. Then, an insolent ungodliness takes hold of the local children, mysterious fur patches appear on limbs and people start disappearing.... Something evil is stirring in the woods.

Go in expecting nothing
Revisado: 05-27-21
Don’t think. Don’t expect anything. Let the performers tell the tale. I enjoyed it that way.

Historia
When Fig Coxbury buys a house on West Barrett Street, it's not because she likes the neighborhood, or even because she likes the house. It's because everything she desires is next door: the husband, the child, and the life that belongs to someone else.

Creative and shocking
Revisado: 11-02-18
I have to say the first part made me feel for the 1st character and not like the mother 1st. Then came the 2nd part. I kind of started to see there were issues on the 1st part’s character.
What I didn’t like about this book is that it is slow at first. In the end it was worth it. I’m keeping it vague so you can enjoy the book.
