Disappointing
Revisado: 12-26-24
The writing in my opinion was very immature. The characters were barely developed and the story was trite and not entertaining. Pretty disappointing.

Oh how I adore this story!!!
Revisado: 09-10-23
The theatre to rural life experience was so relatable for me! I love this discovery of northern Michigan, as I never had ever considered it a destination to explore, but I do now! It is revelatory to consider the road not taken and the gratitude realized for not having wanted the Hollywood dream. I am so grateful this story did not become a typical cliché. Brava!

If Hallmark Christmas movies had a book baby this is it. It’s a audio read that is calm and safe. Pleasant listen.

You are not alone in sadness in you child leaving for college!
Revisado: 12-12-21
Leah, you speaking to your sadness to your daughter in her senior year and her rapidly approaching college departure was so relatable! My experience was so comparable. My youngest daughter is in year 2 of college and I still miss her terribly. I am grateful to know you are feeling the same! Hang in there! It has gotten better, but it still lingers in my heart. Keep up your focus on helping others and helping yourself in therapy.

Funny but something I needed to hear!
Revisado: 06-06-21
I wanted to hear this book in Ms. Handler’s voice. I found it to be familiar like talking to an old friend but the new found awareness was refreshing and not at all disappointing. A self examination and reflection that didn’t make me want to roll my eyes. She learned something but did not lose yourself a long the way. Thank you for sharing.

She was extraordinary as Secretary of State, I can only dream of where this country would be if only we were in her second term. Thank you Madam Secretary, your books have given me peace during these devastating times. This book is a detailed review of her time as Sec. of State and insight to her strength, intellect, and convictions. She is a true patriot and her undying commitment to her country is inspiring!

It begins in New York, where Barack Obama learns that his father - a figure he knows more as a myth than as a man - has been killed in a car accident. This sudden death inspires an emotional odyssey - first to a small town in Kansas, and then to Kenya....

Revisado: 11-08-20
Hearing her voice dissect things that changed the 2016 election and hear that she could find silver linings in the unfortunate outcome. This made me believe things will be okay. She is outstanding and a true believer in the US, women, and the future beyond this sitting President! I can’t wait to see what’s next for Madam Secretary! The was a great read!

Thank you Ms Trump for the clarification on how all this happened to the United States of America’s. Whole Donald isn’t our biggest problem, that would be his base, it does demonstrate how Donald came to be and may it serve as a cautionary tale of parenting gone wrong. I am sorry for the loss of your father. Hang onto your daughter, mother and brother (and his family) they are all you will ever need.
