I have always been drawn into the lives of the characters and the mystery but, this time the story just didn't do it for me.

Historia
Over the course of his seemingly irreproachable life, Magnus Pym has been all things to all people: a devoted family man, a trusted colleague, a loyal friend - and the perfect spy. But in the wake of his estranged father's death, Magnus vanishes, and the British Secret Service is up in arms. Is it grief, or is the reason for his disappearance more sinister? And who is the mysterious man with the sad moustache who also seems to be looking for Magnus? In A Perfect Spy, John le Carré has crafted one of his crowning masterpieces.

It all comes together
Revisado: 08-19-22
Stars a bit slow, meanders about sometimes, and I found it hard to follow now and again but, then it all comes together at the end. Another of his great books and a completely different kind of "spy", like nothing I have come across before. Cheers, we'll done.

One of the Best!
Revisado: 06-26-22
I just loved this book, and I mean the story, and the reading. It might have taken a minute to get used to the style (like the phone calls) but, once past that it did become an important and helpful part of the reading. The story was well put together, thought out and surprising, particularly the end and ending. My first listen to this Author and maybe his style but, wow, what a way to end a great book, very surprising.

Informative & Insightful

A true telling of how one of the most storied and successful divisions of the FBI came to be & the dedicated Special Agents who made it happen. Very happy to hear Mr Douglas credit and reference the others involved in making it all happen.

Well read
Revisado: 10-20-20
I am a fan of Mr Patterson's books and most of the time enjoy the reading. Though this time the narrator, while doing a great job with our main character, I didn't care for his voicing of the female characters.

Another amazing story from Patterson
Revisado: 10-05-19
Patterson never never fails to deliver a great story! With incredible in depth detail of characters, their back story, factual events, and bringing it all together in such an exciting way.
The narrator did such a great job bringing each of the characters to life, each so different yet compelling, and complete.
I can't wait to begin the next in the series.
