I love the writing style! Such a wonderful story

I saw some of the reviews on here and worried about the writing style of this book.I love the writing style and found the story extremely engaging .The book contains multiple POV’s. I’m not sure why the others have complained about this. This book is definitely worth a listen and I’m enjoying the series so far!

Perfection and worth the credit

Down side is there isn’t dual narration but honestly the story is so well written I forgot after a few moments.

Love everything about this!

I liked the narrator’s voices. I usually listen at 1.2 speed and it was the perfect speed for this book . I loved the story and how realistic and rational the FMC was , I love resilient she was. The MC was so sweet. It was a wonderful story ! I will be listening to the rest of the series

Refreshing heroine

Wonderfully refreshing!!! Finally a heroine with Brains!! A woman who thinks logically instead of irrationally throwing tantrums. The story was also unique and the world building great! Definitely worth the credit

Best historical romance of the year!!

This was a hidden gem!! It’s better than the first book in the series. I love the unique story and complex plot. This kept me guessing. Cal was thoughtful and swoon worthy, while Ophelia was smart, strong , and bad-A!! This very unique book is now in my top favorite books of the year. Definitely worth a credit!!

Saved me from a reading slump

This was a ride! I loved the multiple love stories ! I liked that it followed 3 couples and tied them all together ! All of the characters had depth and ignore the negative reviews no one is raped. Yes there is assault and violence because it takes place during a war . The book is realistic in that nature but this adds to the beauty of the story. It shows the devotion of the characters to their partners . I also loved how the main characters had a slow romance and how the hero respected the heroine by taking her advice and trusting her.

A love story with a warrior princess

This story made me cry, laugh, and swoon !! The heroine was strong , capable, and smart! While the hero was broody and stubborn. The last couple of chapters were a whirlwind of emotion and it was a beautiful ride!

Different but good

This story was recommended to me by a book blog, it’s refreshingly different from other mafia romances, this book needs an open mind going in. While most mafia romance books contain bdsm this book does not . His fetish is somnophelia which means he likes his girl to be passed out, Yes he asks for consent thank goodness . The plot was well developed and the heroine made reasonable choices and her inner dialogue was not annoying. If you’re not open to drug use, mafia violence, and somnophelia then this book is not for you. It really takes an open mind.
