Colorful, beautiful and amazing
Revisado: 09-02-20
Elizabeth Acevedo does it again. This story is warm, passionate and reflective. The color of love, forgiveness, family, faith, passion, dreams, hopes, loss, individuality, healing, grief, fear, protection and honor are all beautifully brushed across a canvas any family could display. I am thankful for this story and I am honored to have heard it in the author’s own voice. A must read and share.

This story was absolutely moving. So illustrating... illuminating.....reaching the dark places and allowed room for reflection and revelation. Great building of each and every character. So many stars to celebrate. Awesome read!

Historia
Award-winning authors Victoria Christopher Murray and ReShonda Tate Billingsley are both beloved for their strong female leads and juicy plotting. In Sinners & Saints, Murray and Billingsley join forces to tell a tale packed with drama, scandal, and redemption. Jasmine Bush and Rachel Adams both want their husbands to be elected president of the National Baptist Association, and they’re willing to use plenty of low-down tricks to win. But when another woman joins the fray, she proves more devious than either of them could imagine.

Bad Listen....
Revisado: 03-04-20
A bad narrator can ruin a story. The long pauses, lip smacking and breaths at the end of each completed sentence was annoying.

Historia
In Gay Girl, Good God, author Jackie Hill Perry shares her own story, offering practical tools that helped her in the process of finding wholeness. Jackie grew up fatherless and experienced gender confusion. She embraced masculinity and homosexuality with every fiber of her being. She knew that Christians had a lot to say about all of the above. But was she supposed to change herself? How was she supposed to stop loving women, when homosexuality felt more natural to her than heterosexuality ever could?

Blown away...
Revisado: 01-26-20
What an amazing testimony. I am hoping to, in some way, share her story to help someone. I am thankful for her strength and her transparency. Beautiful written book from the first to the last word. To top it all off, I was elated to here about her friendship with Cyntoia! This was just beautiful....
