The first time I tried this book was before they rerecorded it with Steven Rinella. He has a certain way of speaking that anyone familiar with the podcast or the show can recognize. It would be like listening to Kitchen Confidential in any other voice but Tony's. This time around you feel what was going through his mind while reliving his adventure.

It's been a long time since a series has pulled me in as much as this one has. Holly Black soins tales of believable, likable characters who grow and arc much the same as the founding writers of fantasy.

I got this because I love frontier stories and grew up on Jeremiah Johnson. This is awful. I made it through 20 minutes and almost regretted my ENTIRE audible subscription. Don't waste your life like me.
