Great characters, interesting villains, and really solid mechanics, to go along with a compelling story! Yes please!
I would recommend this to virtually anyone, both vet of LitRPG and Prog fantasy genre, and those looking to get in. Great start to a series i'm really excited to see continue!

Every book Dean has written is worth reading. But this one is perhaps his best work yet! Love the main character, and Tes Irondale does an AMAZING job at bringing her to life!

This book made me laugh, cry, want to work out, want to cook, to see my friends, my family, and many, many other feelings.
I love, love, love, love this series. Damn you FortySixtyFour . . . made me cry. Like three times. Damn good book.

Grim and Dark Without the silliness of "Grim Dark"

Grim atmosphere, dark plotline, unsure who to trust. What you do know is that the good guys are few, but good. And the bad guys are many and dangerous.
The characters, all of them, are well rounded. The world feels lived in, the world building is fantastic, and holy crap do I love the idea of giant robot Russian mech's fighting death kittens in hell. That's fun :)

This series is fantastic, and honestly I was a bit worried going in that the third novel would have gone off in a totally different direction. And it did to some degree, but it did so while staying true to what it does best. Action, adventure, heroics, and slater being a total Bad A!
Seriously give this a shot if you haven't already. Perfect for fans of Mil Sci Fi, Dungeon Core, Gamelit, and LitRPG!
